Thanks everyone, you guys have made me laugh

and cry

at the same time. I need to COL (Cry out loud) more often. I forgot to say that I was already having an emotional meltdown BEFORE surgery. So it only added to it and How!
new knee in June, I had considered an antidepressant in the past, I think a weight loss pill would do nicely as well, considering I can't do a
thing about
that fat right now.

Oh, and I did do something that made me happy yesterday, baking. Unfortunately, my cupcakes overflowed and did not look appealing enough to fill an order it had. They did taste great though, but that on top of the insensitive comment from my "man-child" son threw me over the edge.

I'm usually pretty good at managing/hiding my feeling but I think it's all coming to a head. Can you say.. Mid-life crisis?

I may need a pill after all. Preferably before the next surgery.
daughter stalker and
t4mepam, I know a husband is not the "end all" especially at a time like this. In fact if I were still married to my ex during this ordeal. I'd be hobbling over to Divorce Court quick, fast and in a hurry!

However, men do provide a sense of security and comfort that can not be found in a woman.. not to mention, they're at least half responsible for the household. Meaning BILLS. They're also responsible for you, for better and worse (KRS)

Now, when it comes to cleaning and kids that's another story, but they
might just step in at a time like this.

They also "
spoon" and do other stuff I can't get
any place else. lol As insensitive and annoying as your guy may be at times/or all the time, imagine life without one, then have knee surgery. I

truly MUST be the Bionic Woman.
Becca, I have tried "all of the above" to no avail and like you said... Now is not the time.

I'll get through it, I have to right? I do have a few friends I communicate with from time to time, but now that school has started they're understandably busy. Besides, What meant to say is.... I'm lacking male companionship right now. They're no picnic though, so I will continue my solo act until I mesh with the right one for me.
daughter stalker I have been the Multitasking Monster for decades and I'm afraid the only thing that took away my privileges
for a minute was knee surgery. So good luck with the impeachment.

Let's face it, it's how we're wired. I think that's part of the problem. I am use to do everything and anything myself. I can do 4 or 5 things to most people's one and 10 to my son's fraction, so this having to rest, ice and elevate is getting to me.

Then I start to think I'm becoming lazy, because I'm known to come down with a case of
Complacent-itis from time to time to.

What a weird make up huh. I may not be bionic, but something's a muck, maybe more like the Bride of Frankenstein.

Anyway, I know this will pass. I just have to figure out the best way to go through it....Can't go over it... Can't go under it... Cant go around it, YOU GOTTA GO THROUGH. Good thing my prior Preschool teaching has prepared me for such a Bear Hunt moment as this.
Knee pain, I'm gonna take you up on that offer, but I think I'll wait till around the 25th or so... let you get settled in.

Hey! maybe I'll meet a
real "mate"
Down Under.
Seriously, I was doing pretty good coping w/being single through this ordeal for a while. It just came out of no where yesterday. I felt kinda the same way when I woke, but the fog is slightly lifting.
I remembered
a friend was taking me to run errands since my car is down and I can only do "1" errand at time when it comes to driving. So, I gotta suck it and put on a happy face... Everybody now... Grey skies are gonna CLEAR UP, put on a Happy Face and SPREAD SUNSHINE ALLLL OVER THE PLACE,

just put on a HAAAAPPY FACE!

Thank you ladies, for your encouragement and humor.
