All the best to you Josephine on your big day.

If I'd have thought of it sooner, we could have gotten you a software program that lets you talk rather than type into the computer. But of course, you'll need to be resting and taking it easy and watching the telly rather than typing on the computer.

And if we don't hear from you before then, please have a lovely and healing Christmas!

Oops, I think it's already the 26th there, but I'm sending good wishes for a smooth surgery and recovery.

Jo, just know your surgery will go well. Take care of yourself and let us know how you are doing as soon as you feel able. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Judy

I hope that you are feeling better and getting over that virus!

Sorry to read of your horrible day---I believe that all of us have a day tor two similar to that---if you didn't have bad luck, you would have no luck at all!

Jo, shall we hit the road as traveling comedians? :rotfl:

If you had read "How to balance recliner on one hip, you would not have needed help, well another party anyway. You would have been much closer to your knee replacement! :rotfl:

Jo,
Looks like I have been away too long. I will be praying that your first surgery
goes as smooth as butter. And that your recovery and P.T. is manageable.
I will be checking back in to see how you do. Then we can compare our Rotor
cuff surgeries. Sending you Big Hugs!
D.
Hello! You have been away wayyyy too long! We have missed you! :friends:

Oh Josephine ..... I'm so sorry to hear that. Bone on bone! Ye Gads! That's what mine was and I could hardly stand it! I'd definitely get it done ASAP. You've sure had a round of it, and I'm sorry to hear that this is now on your list. Shoulders too? I am so very sorry.

Good luck with your surgery Josephine,
I hope all goes as well as it possibly can,
Look forward to hearing how you are recovering.

Good luck from me, too! You'll certainly be in my good thoughts. I look forward to hearing about your recovery! Take good care!

Again, thank you everybody.

Actually my left knee is pretty much pain free and has been since I saw him. So I shan't be rushing to get that done. Cold had totally cleared and so now no further worries for Wednesday.

Judy,
I haven't seen you. I've been thinking about you. I hope you and your husband are well!
Best!

Jo,
You will be in my thoughts and prayers for your surgery on Wednesday and for a good recovery -- and about your knee. I've had surgery on both of my shoulders (6 years apart) -- torn tendon and rotator cuff -- and cleaning out the arthritis.

Wow! Who knew so many BoneSmarties have had shoulder surgery!

Josephine, I am so glad the cold is over. I was very concerned. Now you can focus on your big day. Will be thinking of you on that day and after. May it go smooth as possible. Please take care. Hugs, tashia

Thanks Marianne! You are so sweet! The chap doing my shoulders is an upper limb specialist and the one doing my knee is a knee specialist. Both are really sweet, very compassionate, superb technical surgeons, good friends and were wonderful to work with. Best test of a surgeon in that regard is to spend all night with him ..... doing trauma cases, I mean! Oh you do have dirty minds! :rotfl: But if he can at the same time stay focussed on the case and yet caring of the team, he is A1 with me!

Jo, thanks for the laugh :rotfl:

After my hubby and I married and moved to Asheville (North Carolina), a lady in our church became our "go-to" person for medical recommendations. She said that she and her hubby had seen so many different ones, they knew which ones to avoid and which ones were great. So we also have our knee specialist, and our shoulder/hand specialist. We've been recommending them to people we know who have knee, hip, shoulder, hand, etc. problems. It helps to get recommendations from people you know.

I had surgery on my left shoulder in 2004, and on my right shoulder in 2010. The left shoulder caused a LOT more pain (in the months before the surgery) than the right shoulder. So even the first week after the first surgery, my left shoulder felt so much better compared to the pain before the surgery. The right shoulder didn't hurt as much before the surgery, and was more painful (at first) after the surgery. As has been said -- whether with knee, hip, or shoulder surgery -- each surgery is different, even with the same person.

Positive thoughts and prayers.

Final result is in - surgery postponed until 17th December. Bloods are all over the place so more needle sticks coming up. I could cry ......

Poor you. So frustrating and disappointing. :tantrum:
Sending sympathy and a hug
