I do need the PT. It helps me a lot. I don't mind it either. At first I did because he pushed it way too much but once I had a talk with him he cut it back to light stretching and massage and it is much better. I feel good after I go. I increased my ROM by 7 degrees since last Wednesday! My energy level isn't as high as I would like but I am ok so I didn't get to tired today. We will see how I feel after a week of working LOL! I did do more work from home this evening for about 1 1/2 hours.
One thing I found out today is before PT my leg was still really swollen and my ROM was really low. I tried ice but that didn't seem to help so I used a heating pad on my thigh and calf muscles and after about 15-20 mins, my ROM returned and it felt so much better. If you find that you are swelling and ice isn't helping, try heat on the surrounding muscles, but not on the knee itself.
