Hi @Tboom
I wouldn't be concerned about the compression socks if your OS didn't recommend them. Consider yourself lucky!
Hope you're doing well. Best wishes for a great week!

I went to my 1st official PT today. It was a lot. Walking in was like walking a city block. Then the excercises for 45 minutes then walking out another block I was exhausted by the time I got home. Had to ice, elevate and nap. A little sore but nothing to bad. Tomorrow will tell. My other hip needs replaced asap. Hope it makes it the 90 days My OS wants to wait b4 replacement.

Get some rest today @Tboom- that was a lot of movement. Hope other hip cooperates, i’m Hoping mine doesn’t go completely before scheduled surgery, but at least this time I’ll be better prepared.

Sounds like my horror PT story...didn't help that early on.
Remember your BIG TIP.
The walking sounds like it would've been plenty.
Keep it simple, hope you rest today!

I agree the walk was plenty. I have been up tonight walking due to stiffness and pain in new hip & My un-operated leg. Nothing to bad but had to take a 1/2 of a Vicodin. I have them horrible oxycodone from discharge but if I never take 1 of them again won't bother me. The thirst issue is not worth it. Oh well I hope I will be ready to go back on Friday lol.

Poor Tboom. Hope you have a better day today.:console2: Ice all you can.
You can opt out of Friday, you know.

Fridays PT was much better. Didn't mind the walk in or out. Switched to a rolling walker with a seat so much easier than the other standard one. Worked on using just a cane around the house. For the first time in 2 years I Can take decent strides as I walk until my other hip starts acting up. Stairs are still hard. But Amazingly New hip feels strong and steady 9 days post op. My wound is healing up GOOD. See OS this Tue, he should be impressed with his work and my progress. Very pleased with my new hip.

Yay for progress:egypdance::dancy:

Good job @Tboom. You are getting nice steady progress. Have a good weekend.

Happy Saturday @Tboom. You sound well!
Great news that the hip feels strong and steady :yes!:
The stairs will come.....it gets easier and easier.
Let's us hear about your visit with OS next Tuesday....if you feel like sharing
I'm sure it will all be good and we'd love to give you a clap :yay:
Keep up the good work.
Wishing you a great weekend!

@Tboom glad to hear you are doing so well - I'm really thrilled with my results too. Dec 6th must have been good a good day for hip replacement! :yay:

Went to OS appt today, had Xrays, all was great. Incision looked really good he said. No problems. No concerns. Its amazing how smoothly this has gone. Have to go back Jan 30 and I will get my next surgery date if all is still good. I sure hope my next surgery goes as well as this one.

Great report @Tboom. So glad your recovery is going so very well. At least with next surgery you have an idea of what you are getting in to. Meanwhile, have a great Christmas:tree:

Good to hear you are also doing well and making a quick recovery so you can prepare for hip #2 @Tboom! I don't have any issues with my other hip (knock on wood...) but I told my surgeon if I did I would do this again in a heartbeat.

Great OS visit @Tboom
Best wishes for continued healing.
Jan 30th will be here in a blink. Hopefully your scheduled surgery won't be too far out.
You can move onto recovery and a brand new year without hip pain.
Warm wishes for a great week and a :merry christmas:
