Aw Linda, I am so sorry to read this! You have had your fair share of problems! Fingers crossed for you. Please let us know how it goes.

Okay, Linda - I found it! You should use a semi-colon after the name to activate a tag ; it changes to a colon when it's activated.

So about this problem you have. The 'shrapnel' would be very fine stuff, more like swarf. I can only urge you not to assume it's this that is responsible as there are a dozen and one other things that could be the cause before that. You need to get it investigated and going back to your surgeon is a good start. Hang in there and keep us posted.

ah - a semi colon - got it! ok thank you - I'm trying not to but I just keep seeing all the metal debris from my previous xray in my head! will let you know next Friday...
xoxo,
Linda

Hey Linda,

Sometimes our fears are the result of lack of information. Because of this we "fill in" with what info we actually have and that quite often is not what is happening at all.

Sorry for going on but it's my long winded way of saying please don't worry yourself with what "may" be the problem. Hopefully you are wrong, fingers crossed.

Love
Charlie

I am happy to say that you all were right - my new pain is not from the metal debris in my leg - that is in the same place as it was immediately post-op!!! I am SO happy - I actually burst into tears when he told me, lol! Its back to PT for me then - he thinks a lot of my issues may be coming from my back even more so than my hips - I do have some pain in both sides...

Thank you so much for your replies and concern!!! Hope you all have a good weekend,
xoxo,
Linda.

Hooray!!!
I nearly burst into tears as well when I read your post!!:loll:
Great news and ......I told you so ... so there!!

I've never been so glad to hear "I told you so" in my life!!!

xoxo

Linda,

I hope those PT gurus get you fixed up right quick! ORRRR, however long it takes...

Glad the news was positive,

Z

Great news Linda! I had a feeling that would be the case. As you know I suffer from back issues as well. Get some good PT. I'll bet it helps.

Keep us posted!

Yay Linda! IM sure PT will get you started in the right direction to get back on the pain free track!!

major panic - supposed to go to disney in 11 days - drive 9 hours to get there - dont know what happened but severe pain in all parts of hip have slowly devloped and peaked - in groin, leg, hip, butt, ect, ect - can barely limp to bathroom and back - how will i walk around disney in less than 2 weeks? so upset b/c I didn't even do anything that i can think of to cause this. im on daypro, pain meds and icing and resting but so so upset...

im so upset i cannot effectively even communicate - i guess i have some questions too - can an injection (only ever had epidural ones in my back) help relieve pain for my vacation - but I assume its all muscular but everything anywhere near my hip is in severe pain - @Josephine: please read this and the post above this one thank you so much,
xoxo,
Linda

Wow Linda, I hope things settle down for you. That is a long drive and then Disney is tons of walking. I hope some relief happens for you soon so you can be on the mend prior to all of this.

I'm getting epidural steroid injection for L5 area tomorrow since it's down my butt and hamstring area. Hope it's not too bad??? I know you've had those before.

Linda had an unexpected call last night and hopefully is feeling a lot more positive! :wink1:

@Juliep: Julie I have had several epidurals for spine issues. They are not a difficult procedure and they do work in combination with the right PT and mobility. Please let us know how it goes for you! Fingers crossed!

Linda,
My mom went through a series of three epidurals a few years ago and said they weren't bad at all. They really helped her....she was in a lot of pain before and it's been about five years of being painfree:). Hoping you get great results also! You deserve it:)
Dee
p.s. Enjoy Disney! It's our favorite:) and if you need to, rent a wheelchair there to get around the parks...
