Hi friends . Didn't sleep much but only because of surgicenter routine, not pain. Very comfortable night. Had PT- just stretching, walking and practice stairs 3).
I am safely home, elevating and icing. I'm taking oxy on schedule -- not having pain (Praise God) but know it will come as the local wears off.
I am so very thankful for God, my family, 3D friends and you all. I have been very blessed.
Husband is beside me, being an excellent nurse.
Again, thank you all so much for the support -- only those who have been here and done this can really get this, I think. Bless you all.
Still thinking about a mountain kneeunion for those of us who can come to Asheville in late spring. I want to meet you awesome peeps.
Wonderful home, sweet home! God is so good all the time! It sounds like you are doing great! I pray the pain stays away as much as possible. Looking forward to an Asheville kneeunion! Maybe I can hold off my left one until after then. Maybe even forever!
I'm glad you're home, Shelia.
Rest, ice, elevate and medicate on schedule - you can set your own routine now.
I'm glad your husband is looking after you well.
PS: Would you like your thread title changed now? Is so, just post what you would like it to be and we'll change it for you.
Celle, thank you! Yes, I would love to have my thread title changed to "Knees 1 AND 2 Up and Running". What a delight - wasn't sure I'd go back for #2. I'm so glad I did.
Icing, elevating, medicating and smiling. I was SO terrified yesterday going in. I know there are going to be rough days ahead, but I'm smiling right now ( I think I might be a little high from the oxy. I am not in pain but I'm taking it on schedule). I gave hubby my credit cards before surgery. But i can't hide my phone, so y'all please forgive my foggy brain.
Made it upstairs! I couldn't bear the thought of night on couch. Hubby and I went slowly and knee 1 did beautifully. Praise God! In my bed nest with ice machine and meds. And hubby . I was not up to a shower tonight but in the morning - I hope so. PT comes at 9. A new company for at-home due to my insurance. I've got his Bonesmart packet ready to go
