MY knee really hurts now -more than ever chronic pain is an understatement , no leg drags along abit with knee bend has unable to straighten it- soon need new crutches has I nearly worn the old ones out, waiting for pain management . and surgery though there no sign of either, Our NHS is not fit for purpose nowadays and I lost complete faith in it, and now dealing with symptoms of dementia which is getting worse,, which again waiting for appointment this to is a long wait list, Animals get better treatment in this country than we humans have

@bland9 Your GP should be able to access this swelling and possibly treat it. Have you been in contact with their office?

Im writing this has MB wife I'm Concerned about my husband , he now cannot hardly put any weight on his knee for chronic pain and slight infection in the knee, though considering all the other things he is going through ie now be tested for Dementia ,, he is doing extremely well though he sometimes say he be better off without his painful leg, We contacted his surgeon secretary to see were he was on the waiting list her reply was 62 week wait but now gone up to 92 weeks wait ,and this is just to Arthroscopy procedure and if that don't resolve it he goes back on the list which could be another 2 years, this is unbelievable, how many on here on this forum could tolerate what he going through , and just think he still managing to stay at work though be it at reduced hours, his employer been good to him , though I know them days are coming to an end , spoke to GP all they want to give him is depression medication, though he not depressed at all and last time he tried this medication he had bad hallucination so has far has he concerned that a no goer, waiting for pain management now though he and myself have lost faith in any hope . one thing that is so sad the time and if they do fix his leg ,and if he is diagnosed with dementia he will not have worry about it, sorry for the rant but i feel so frustrated on his behalf

I am so sorry that your husband is in such a bad situation, and basically no medical help. Is there any way you could see a different surgeon? Can you go for at least one private appointment?
