Yes, I am scheduled for July 18th and it cannot get here soon enough. I fell today tripping over some hedges installing some storm shutters around the house,the pain was unreal as my knee bent backward.

Go Bill! Good luck with your op. We can neither of us wait to get our knees done and be free of all of this pain, effort and trouble.
 
Are you haing patient specific TKR also, did alot of reading and it really seems like the way to go. Best of luck with yours and I will post my progress here.
 
Not as such, Bill, but probably by neccessity. I am having my knee replaced due to the loss of an enormous amount of bone at the top of my tibia, following an emergency reconstruction after a very severe hiking accident eleven years ago. Three years ago I had the supporting metal work taken out as a preliminary to the TKR. Since then my leg has gone more and more out of alignment so that now walking has become very difficult, not because of pain but because of a real loss of function in the joint.
The surgeon has had to order special equipment for the cutting procedure, and for material to build up the joint, so although it is a TKR it is not a straightforward one by any means.
I trust my surgeon who is very good, so I am in his hands really.
I will let you know how I get on.

Good luck to everyone this week. Wednesday can't get here soon enough. Leaving on Tuesday to get to Nashville for dinner with some friends the night before then checking into the hotel in the hospital to try and get some sleep and then wait for them to come get me late Wednesday morning.
