@Layla. I thought it would give a few of you a chuckle. Hubby says I have to wear them when I visit the Surgeon ... but I'll wait till after surgery when I can walk in front of him rather than being in the wheelchair. The high heels have been out of the picture since 2013 when my doc said it was not safe for me to wear them ... shame, I had some classy ones, but still have some kitten heels.

You have a lovely weekend too. xx
PS I am up to 10 minutes pedaling and 20 mini walking steps daily. I'm feeling quite good.

Love your hubs idea. The OS should get a kick out of you wearing them.

I hear you on the heels. I still gaze at mine once in awhile in my closet knowing full well I'ts doubtful I'll wear them again. I can put them on and walk in them but it's simply not comfortable anymore! You know you're getting old when you begin wondering how you ever wore them for any length of time, lol. Another sign of age, for me anyway, is going to comfort over appearance. I'm now content and comfortable in my flats.

Good for you on the exercise. Slow and easy....you'll get there! :yes!:

Here I am again .. waiting ... ever so patiently! :umm::whistle:

Saw Surgeon today, had blood tests, had X-ray, saw Surgeon again. He said if levels are still down, I can stop antibiotics and he can set surgery, hence X-ray done in anticipation. I was carefully lifted on and off the horrid X-ray table by a handsome young man, my arms around his neck! :heehee: X-ray shows holey bones and he hopes he can operate without wiring femur in place. Spacer still sitting well ... of course it is ... I can't blxxdy do anything! He mentioned seeing Anaethetist. But all this hinges on low levels of SED and CRP. Only having 2/3 of bloods analysed and no urine ... natch since I took a sample! He has 4 surgeries this afternoon so I wait ........... :praying: :fingersx::bored:

Lovely sunny winter's day here, 18c and it was good getting out in it.
    :) :-) (:

Thank you dear Layla. Dr Pinto phoned me last evening ... and all systems are GO! :egypdance: I am now just waiting to get e-mail with confirmation and date. :yahoo: It has been a very long sixteen months but I can see the light ... but I take on board what Dr P says that there are no guarantees and we hope my knee replacement done in March on same leg keeps itself well hidden from this monster inside me. :bolt:
    I will come back when I receive details. :) :-) (:

Thank you all. Gosh, it has been two weeks since I reported for duty!

Last Monday it was 4 months since my Spacer went in and it is two weeks since I have been given the thumbs up and off the antibiotics. I don't know if it was coming off the antibiotics after 4 months but I was so sick last week ... vomitting and terrible stomach pains accompanied by constipation! Almost 100% back to normal now. :fingersx:

Heard from the CS Manager last week saying they were waiting to hear from the prothesis supplier before they could finalise details for the op. I am paying privately so have to approve everything first. The prothesis is with a longer stem and larger cup and ball for support.. Hopefully I'll hear in the next couple of days. My friend is seeing my Surgeon today for a followup as hers is ill so I have told her to say hello for me ... just as a reminder I am still around! As I have probably seen him 40 times in the last year, it is probably difficult for him to forget me! :umm:

So, my patience is being as patient as it can be with lots of big sighs but no tears of late.

We had a much needed heavy rain Sunday night but we continue to remain unseasonally warm.

I hope you all are doing well and keeping in good spirits.

Oh thank you for thinking about me @Mojo333. You are such a lovely Southern Belle and having lived in Alabama for 14 years, I met quite a few. xx

Thankfully my tummy is getting back to normal. I was thinking ... I had been on the nasty Anastrozol (Arimidex) for my Cancer, had not been well on it and had voluntarily stopped it in September 2017 after four years. The following month I had my slip/fall and was on strong painkillers till I went into hospital in March 2018, then it was antibiotics for infection/strong painkillers for TKR and Alendronate (Fosamax) for Osteoporosis for months till my Hip Revision in October, then pain killers and strong antibiotics for four months till 5 February when I was told to stop Antibiotics as PRC and CRP within limits. Therefore I have been on strong medications for 5 1/2 years, going from one to another, and I wonder if my system 'objected' or 'had withdrawal' from all this?

I am still (im)patiently waiting for a new surgery date. :bored:  :beg:

PS Edited to say on medications for 5 1/2 years.

This is exactly what I thought when I read your first post about your tummy troubles. That's a very long time for such strong meds. Glad things are calming down for you.
