I'm sorry about your news today, but like Jamie, I have faith something will happen good in your future. You are so young, but have gone through so much, and I admire how you handle things. I'm so sorry, and hope your husband feels better about things soon, as much as he can.

I'm praying for you and your family. I know there's a reason for all this but sometimes we don't see it. Meanwhile, I hope and pray they get your symptoms under control.:sigh:

Helen

Natalie,

I am so sorry about the doctors visit and the outcome. Please know that we all are here to support you through this. I agree with Jamie and Helen. This is a bad time for you right now, but there is going to be a ray of sunshine in the future. Keep your eyes open for it.

Hi Natalie, there are times when we all wish we had magic wands, and could put everything right for you. All I can offer you are my thoughts and best wishes.

I'm sure that in th next few days you and your husband will start to come to terms with your new challenge, when things will start to look a little bit brighter. At least I truly hope so.

Never forget that we Bonesmarties will always be here for you providing positive encouragement. So keep chatting with us.

Again, all my best wishes, try to keep smiling at the good things still in your life.

Good luck to your Hubby, he's probably feeling guilty that he hasn't protected you enough (us men are like that, you know)

I am both saddened and sorrowful to read your prognosis. I am an optimist, and will keep you and your health in our prayers---we will put you on our prayer list at church. I (we!) are hoping and praying for improvement and better news down the road!

Real sorry to hear that. As the husband of someone with chronic illness' and continued weakness and many other issues, I hope you r husband does come around soon. I know its not easy for you at all. If he feels so inclined, he could contact me if that might help. Of course, I type this sitting in a chair next to my wife in the hospital, again... I do wish you could have had better news.

Thank you so much hope your wife is ok xx

He is struggling he hates to see me in so much pain and really believed one day I would be without it when we met I was ok I was working and I was able to be independant now I depend on him so much and it's hard.

Natalie....I am in total shock. I will hope and pray every day that medical science will come up with something that may offer help for you at some point. Even though right now you must accept that nothing can be done....people are working on solutions all the time and you just never know what the future holds.

But....knowing what this diagnosis is, I think you are very wise for taking stock of where you are and what you might like to do in the near future. God bless you and your wonderful husband. You both will have a lot of challenges in the coming months, but I believe you will come through them stronger than ever.

You have my support in whatever I might be able to do from afar. My heart is with you.

I hope so Jamie it's times like these I wish I was in medical research!

We will adapt to it being long term I am glad someone finally told us that there is nothing more they can do.

Well me and hubby didn't talk last night he was in too much shock I think and he didn't know what to say to me.
We spoke this morning and he said he was devastated for me that the pain will never go away,he hates the way it rules my life.
Hopefully I may be able to get it under control one day or at least ease it.

I still feel shocked today but I know we will be ok eventually we just need to take one day at a time.

Thankyou all so much for your support xxxx

Natalie, don't forget we are also here for your hubby as well, if he wants to pop in and join us. We often forget the other halves

Tykey thak you so much I often think that when I come on here to chat I have all this support on my computer and don't get me wrong he has friends but no one who is in a similar situation so he bottles a lot of it up,he finds it very difficult to show his emotions.

He just text me saying "I could cry for a whole week but can't because I need to be strong for you"

aaawww huni my heart is breaking for you both...

It's not easy for a man, I wish I was close enough to take him out for a pint because he sounds nice:console:.

By the way, is that really you on your avatar?, I keep thinking it's Grace Kelly

Hi Natalie, your ears must be ringing as you have been in my thoughts alot. I hope you and hubby can take some time together to come to terms with all this. It is so hard when you can't share - been there and it's just not fun. You both need to lean on each other.

I have no doubt you will see this through to the other side - whatever that may be. For now - just rest and recover from this shock.

Take care Natalie!

Aw bless you Tykey he is a wonderful man and he is my whole life :)

Yes that's me and hubby on our wedding day

:thumb:Thank you so much Jaycey xxx

We are off to Dublin in a few weeks for his birthday so hopefully that will give us some well deserved rest and time together. He works so hard all the time too and to have to come home some days and care for me on the bad days is so draining for him so I booked a trip away a few weeks ago before I knew the outcome of the appointment I am so glad I did now

Glad to hear you will b getting a break w/ Scott - I hope you two have a wonderful time :cat-kittyandsmiley:

xoxo,
Linda.

That's a great idea Natalie. You two need a break - some relaxation and celebration together. Have a lovely time (fingers crossed on the weather)!

Natalie....I'm so glad to hear you and your hubby will get some time alone together. You'll be more able to talk about all this when you don't have the normal pressures of your home, work and family to deal with. You were so smart to have booked the trip!!

I know your husband must feel so helpless with all this. Guys need to feel like the strong protector, so if you can find some ways to reassure him that his is still very much in that role, maybe it will help him talk more about his feelings.

I feel so bad for him I have told him I'm ok and even though I'm upset by the news I know together as a family we can get through it,he has thrown himself into work and then DIY when he has come home this evening.

I sat the kids down to tell them and they took it so well they both just said "that's pants Mum" their way of saying it's rubbish! It made me laugh :th_heehee:

Strength has nothing to do with NOT crying. It is a healthy outlet for his emotions. If nothing, it makes him stronger. I know this, as I have nearly lost my wife 3 times in the last 4 years. And we're in the hospital yet again. I meant it, if he wants to contact me either through the forum personal messages or email, that's fine.
