Happy Birthday NYland, and glad to hear things are showing improvement now. Keep on keeping on just take it slow and steady.
It's already hard to get comfortable, isn't it?
Thanks, Judy!![]()

Awwwww, Kathy, I deleted my post about the horrible care. I'm sorry that you were able to read it. After I posted it, I thought better, and didn't want to upset or spook anyone. I feel like today is my turning point day. I feel like I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and know which way to go to follow that light. Last week I just felt a little bit lost and confused.Nyland, having read your horrible nightmare experience while you were in hospital filled me with utter horror and disgust. How awful for you, poor you to have to go through that after major surgery. Nurses are called angels, but the ones you had to deal with were just devils in disguise, to be sure (that makes me sound Irish, doesn't it?). When you feel able, you must make a formal complaing about this unforgivable and unprofessional behaviour.
I'm so happy that you are happier now to be starting afresh. Things will only improve for you from now on, I know it will. Onwards and upwards
Kathy

Sounds like good progress to me. I'm so sorry you had the trouble in the first place but look at you go now! And it's got to feel better having a PT who knows your knee is the boss!****UPDATE****
I followed my OS's directions and elevated and iced exclusively from last Thursday through Monday. I had PT today, and as far as I am concerned, this was my first PT appointment. The old PT helped to set me back with the horrible swelling.
I have a new PT assigned to me. Her name is Paula and was lovely. No more switching, she will follow me until I'm done.
She was gentle and supportive. My bend number that was in her computer system was 42. I have no idea when that measurement was taken. My extension in the system was -14.
My bend today was 87 and my extension was -10.
I know that there are many, many super stars here that have great numbers, but for my first day after my swelling fiasco and 1 PT session, well, I think that is an ok starting point. I'm to do my 2 exercises 3 times a day, 20 reps per day on my own. PT will be coming 5 days a week. She said that when I am ready, we will practice on the stairs.
So, good-bye everything before today. Feeling good about today and look forward to slow but sure progress.
