Hi Grateful for this thread. My journey really started about 2 1/2 years ago as my knee had been really hurting me and I went to my Dr.and he told me to loose wt,did not assess it past that.I went back to him a year later,toL him that my knee was much more painful and my blood pressure was very high.I then got an MRI which I had to ask for. That showed a very degenerated knee.Went to a Dr.that told me to come back when I was at 30 BMI.I lost about 50 lbs and went to a different Dr.Got the knee replaced, husband had a heart attack on week 5 post op,he is diabetic, cancer x 3,and his body does not tolerate things well. Our daughter had a baby and she and the FOB as well as the baby lived with us for 10 months. Both hips have end stage osteoarthritis with 1 femur head being flattened.I feel so overwhelmed some days.I just had to take International Board exam last week which I had to study like crazy for months, hope I passed(not a good test taker)Just am exhausted.Still work full time and have a very physical job. Some days I don't want to get out of bed.I can't sit, stand or even lay down without hurting.Sometimes it hurts so much I really just can't stand it.Its depressing

Do feel for you @Squirrellymom - and @JMACCA - the reason why these threads are so important is that they are a diary of what precedes our surgery. They will be something to look back on and a wonderful reminder of what we've left behind. I hope anyone who is contemplating going ahead will read them and understand they are not alone and that things will only get worse. Fortunately there is a solution!
