THR Hopefully Hippy Recovery

Argh, @SurreyGirl, hanging around in hospitals is TOTALLY the pits! Hope by the time you read this your procedure is over and you're resting comfortably. And being signed off for 3 days will be quite nice, I'm betting. Thinking of you, and sending positive vibes your way.

So sorry, waiting makes the best of us irritable, especially given the anxiety that accompanies most any hospital stay. Hopefully you're finished with procedure by now and resting comfortably. We're here for you and will look forward to hearing all is well.
Hugs

Home now. Great Consultant and a real expert. One polyps found and destroyed. Awaiting the biopsy but hopeful. Hardly any pain and the GA was fine. Great! And I can swim again next week. Yay! Dizzy so they kept me in for a bit and everyone else left so had the ward to myself and was “waited” on by the nurses with sandwiches and tea so spoilt rotten. They were lovely!

The American Husband turned out to be an ex Surrey lecturer so we ended up sharing our opinions of the various VCs!!

Hey, great news on the outcome of your procedure, @SurreyGirl and not only that but tea and sandwiches and a ward to yourself. I am sure by the time you finally left the hospital you were smiling to yourself. And I'm sure it will be great to get back into the pool next week. Fingers crossed that the biopsy is a non-event and then you can get back to life going forward. Hurray for you!

It's great the procedure is now behind you. You sound encouraged.
Thankfully you were treated well and it wasn't a bad experience overall. Spoiled by the professionals is a good thing! Hopefully you get the all clear soon and are able to resume all activities, especially you're beloved swimming. Still not sure it's the swimming that pulls you in....or the scenery (fit bloke) :heehee:
Have a great rest of the day!
@SurreyGirl

Ha ha! A lot of the time I am on my own there! Off work today but actually doing some work from home. Little pain which is excellent and hoping this is a blip. Very mindful of infection so keeping a eye out for any worrying signs but so far so good!

Slept yesterday morning and then went round to see a lovely neighbour of mine for a coffee and a chat.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

:wave:Glad you are on the healing path.
Take it easy ...sending healing vibes your way.:friends:

Woo, hoo, @SurreyGirl It sounds like all things considered, you're doing well, recovering from your hospital procedure and hips are happy. You take care of yourself, don't overdo things and keep a vigilant eye on for any potential infection. Hope you have a fabulous weekend.

Thanks! I feel fine if a bit tired.giving swimming a miss tonight for obvious reasons. Bbq at neighbours scheduled for tomorrow but forecast is awful! Cold windy and blowy right now and major power cuts in the UK. Ok here atm but prepared! Happy weekend everyone x

Weather is horrid! A restful weekend is prescribed. You must be very tired from work and having GA this week!

Yup. And I didn’t improve things as Went to a neighbours summer fiesta party yesterday. Most of the guests were at least 30 years younger than me and the place was awash with babies and toddlers. There was a mariachis band playing and wine and tequila a-plenty with chilli. In typical British summer fashion we braved the strong winds and grey skies and the marquee bravely stood up to it all.

Very different from last year when I went to the party on crutches just three weeks out of hospital.

In the evening the kareoke was typically excruciating but we all had fun!

Groin pain in hip has calmed down considerably as no swimming last week so wondering what I am doing to cause it? Need to be a bit more careful maybe but nearly a stone down in weight since getting back from holiday so encouraged by that!

Hope everyone’s weekend goes well.

Which stone did you lose, SG? We don't speak that lingo over yonder.....across the pond.

Whatever you lost....I'm happy for you. Yay! :yay: :happydance: Hope you got up and swung those skinny hips to some karaoke.
Happy Sunday!
