TKR Hopefaith's Ups and Downs of Recovery

@hopefaith I am totally ready for the next surgery. My surgeon does not do bilateral for some reason. He feels I am young enough and in good enough shape to bounce back. I think he is just getting tired of seeing me so often between cortisone shots and surgeries and follow ups :)

I am turning 50 in December (not sure how THAT happened) and I want to have all of this behind me and get on with my life after surgery.

I appreciate all of the support on this site and love to hear how everyone is doing.

Have a good night!

 What in the world is a bailiwick? (If I may ask an ignorant question.)

@hopefaith Bailiwick = one's sphere of operations or particular area of interest.

Those are called "gifs" for the name of the file extension. I have collected them for years whenever I saw one I particularly liked. There are also web sites that offer free downloads but not all of them are reputable as some have contained computer viruses. As with any downloaded file, you have to be careful. To insert them in a message you use the "Upload File" option and go to and select the image you want to use that is on your computer.
[Bonesmart.org] Hopefaith's Ups and Downs of Recovery

Same as people posting pictures of gardens or flowers, etc, except these are animated.

With my jokes, self deprecating humor and funny animations I am just hoping to put smiles on some faces hoping they serve as a brief respite from thinking about the knee(s) and any problems with it(them).

I appreciate your humour and your pics and gifs. Except the one with the bug crawling across my screen. :)

Hello everyone. Haven't posted to you all in awhile.
@Nana moon 27 just a few more days until you have relief! @cafecortado I miss you. Are you okay? @Quasi I hope for you really good rest this week end. @DogLoverx3 I hope you get your Gabapentin sorted and you are feeling better. From your last post, I am happy for you. @JustJeff has your sleep improved at all? I hope so.
@71Beetle It's wonderful that you are looking forward to both knees being done. @Tamsmom how are you doing with working and all you are juggling? @Phil75070 no more creepy pictures. (:
@pumpkin hope your knee is settling down. Is it? @dogwheels loved your photos. I want to be there. @jbucks how are you doing? @busylizzie I hope you did indeed get to go home for a few hours. I hope you are not in much pain. @Judlepip I wonder how the information about your knee is affecting you? Are you okay? Does it affect your walking? @chestnc I really hope you get your pain meds sorted and that you are having a lot less pain and more restful nights.
That's all I have for now, and I am falling asleep, was awake from about 3 a.m. on.
Thinking of all of you,
~hopefaith

how are you doing?[/quote
@hopefaith I am doing pretty well. I am still waiting for that corner to turn as I am at 8 weeks tommorrow. Good days and bad days like the rest, but I am trying to do what I can to keep my mind off this darn knee. Good luck at the wedding tommorrow

@jbucks If you figure out a formula for not thinking about the knee all of the time, please let me (us) know.

@hopefaith Boy I hear ya. I am going to continue to look for the magic concoction that allows my mind to not think about the knee and concentrate on no pain

Low pressure today, so my knee is unhappy, yesterday was better. Better weather comming, so will be back to normal. Thanks for asking .
How are you doing?
