Bilateral THR Grateful Double Hippy

Noticed you’ve mentioned making amends to dad in a couple of posts @Mojo333. What a good thing to do. Even if what we say may be warranted, we can still feel bad for pain it may cause. This life is all about our relationships with others and they need careful tending. Have a good weekend.

Nature always soothes and revives me. So grateful this Christmas for my journey to health and happiness.
Life's stresses can take us away, and nature's beauty can bring us back.
Something as simple as a bird's song.
The poem I memorized in grade school comes back to me this Christmas. It's Wood Song by Sara Teasdale.

I heard a wood thrush in the dusk
Twirl three notes and make a star -
My heart that walked with bitterness
Came back from very far.

Three shining notes were all he had
And yet they made a starry call -
I caught life back against my breast
And kissed it, scars and all.

Kiss your scars my BS pals...find "your" wood song and be happy.

That’s a very apt song. Good to hear your full of the Christmas spirt. :reindeerlights::reindeerlights:

Had a full day doing my tax returns today. Sat there like Ebenezer Scrooge, working out what I owe the tax man. It’s not that bad really, I find it quite therapeutic.

Can’t wait for the holidays. A full week off.

Stoping in to say good morning @Mojo333. Good to see you have a bit of time on here. Hopefully your time out in nature has you rejuvenated for this last busy week before Christmas. Go as easy as you can on those hips!

Taxes, therapeutic? I gotta speed up your recovery Alfie.
That sounds horrendous to me.:heehee:
I sure hope you get some peace this holiday. You deserve it @Alfie888

Morning @MammaT. I feel like we have coffee together every morning.:mcoffee:
Yes, the brief break over weekend was welcome..I'm already zapped and its only Wednesday.
Have an interview (videoed:oyvey:) about Hunters for the Hungry program with local ag extension agent and Farm Bureau.
Guess I need to actually do my hair and find something to wear....
It's supposed to rain all day so business pickups will be aggravating...open trailer.
Hope your day is as sweet as you are!:curtsey:

Meeting with county commissioners today and hopefully getting out a bit early so I can get house ready for Monday. I hate getting taped for interviews-but yours is for a very good cause. Try to stay dry and don’t overwork those hips!

Hey @Mojo333
Heading into the holiday.....
Figuring many who are pulled in waaaay too may directions @ Christmas will
be taking advantage of tomorrow as an extra day to celebrate.

Want to wish you a great weekend, hopefully you have tomorrow off?
Afraid you're going to say "No, and we'll be crazy busy!" Hopefully not and you're getting a break.

Sending wishes for a very Merry Christmas celebrated with all those you love!
:merry christmas:

Beautiful poem/song I love poetry and songs. I believe it or not had a couple poems published eons ago.
iF I don't talk to you sooner have a blessed Christmas :nativity:

We go way back my dear @Mojo333 I don't know how I would have made it without you. Ya know, I don't just appreciate your kind heart and positive attitude, one thing that you did was early in hip one you expressed all or many of your pains, fears and discouragements and many I shared. I had another pea in my pod and felt less alone. Have a BLESSED New Year and the Merriest of Christmases :nativity:no

Hi all. Busiest week I've had since my surgery and by the time I make it home...I'm really worn out.
My New Hips are amazing. I'm walking , rushing, going for most of the first five hours I am at work with no resting. Obviously the last few months between Thanksgiving and Christmas are crazy busy.
I could not have done it this year with the OA pain...I barely survived last year then I would go home and cry and be unable to sleep.
Still have some shopping to finish up and small donations to pick up today..but we made sure many families will have plenty of food and extra goodies for the holidays.
Lots of grateful clients.
I'm grateful I'm basically off through Tuesday!
Grateful for all my BS buds also.
And gra

Glad your new hips carried you through the week! That was a real test of them. Pretty incredible when you look back and realize how far you have come. I am ready for Christmas except for grocery (going there soon) and house cleaning. Enjoy your days off and :merry christmas:

You too MammaT. I haven't had much time to peruse the forum this week. You have been a comforting voice to many...so I hope blessings come back to you tenfold.
:friends:

Thanks @Jaycey. It certainly has been a ridiculous week.
Going to give these legs a little break and show everyone how lazy I can be.
Hope you have a peaceful holiday.:re-snowman:

@Gone again
Thank you and back at you.
Yay for no hip pain.
Alert!! (Brag)
Christmas shopping today totally derailed.
75 degrees forecasted and mostly sunny!
Must get on ATV and ride trails at sister's farm...check trail cameras...try to find arrowheads in freshly harrowed peanut fields..and try to like people again.
Way too many this week.
All online forum folks discluded...
It's going to be great!
Maybe fish...can't let the last warm day of the year go unappreciated by being stuffed in traffic at the shopping malls.
IOUs in stockings sound tacky to anyone?
