Finally after reading the Bonesmart info. Doing the stretches immediately last night. I feel some relief today. Thanks @Josephine
Thank you Bone smarties. I am just amazed that I am able to obtain such information and help here. This has been better than google for me :)

@spinfanatic
Yes, I have quad problems. Went through months of PT they never addresses the IT band. @Josephine Gave me answers in seconds not months. Crazy my knee was so tight felt it would pop. Today so much better.

These IT Band issues certainly can be boogers---it takes time and patience for them to subside. Stretching and icing is a great help---I am glad that you are finding relief.

I used these stretches when I had IT Band issues:

[Bonesmart.org] From 30 - 90 rom and wanting more

I also filled Dixie Cups up with water and froze them---then, after the stretching, I would use the cup to perform an ice massage directly onto he sore and tight area. When the ice melted, I would simply tear off part of the Dixie Cup.

By being diligent and gently (two extremes, I know) and performing gentle stretches and icing, your IT Band issues should go bye-bye.

Oh, my dear I was just sitting here doing nothing . My top lip swollen like crazy . Now I am wondering what the heck . Took two Benadryl not sure what else to do . No idea what caused it . Am able to swallow so far . Reminds me of when the hospital put me in Anaphylactic shock from IVP dye reaction . Scary . I am beginning to feel line it is always something with me .

@Pjmc....so glad to hear that BoneSmart helps you! Of course, that's what we're here for, but it is always nice to know when it really happens for our members. Thanks for taking time to post!

So sorry about your lip! My gosh, could it be something you ate? Do you have specific allergies? I had that happen from a bee sting once and I know it's not fun!

I hope your lip has gone down by the time you read this. No fun to have an allergic reaction.
:console2:

Did not eat or drink anything new or anything just a mystery . I am still here and able to swallow . Just really weird . I do not have food allergies. I took a hydrocodone earlier only 5/500 but I normally take one a day . Odd just odd . I face time my daughter she could not believe it .just the top lip is so huge. Like super botox.
No pain . Just something to give me a new topic other than the knee I guess.

Well, if it continues to be swollen, I'd definitely see your GP. Something caused it!

Wow ! What a thread. Just read the whole thing. Cant sleep as im a week post op. Wonder why I never seen it before or recall. There are soo many threads ! Im so sad to read about what you have been through. Very alarming the way you have been treated. By your OS and his staff, I would of thought you were in a 3rd world country. Not the USA. My head has been shaking for minutes now. You are a fighter.!! And your fight is commendable. Hang in there. Im alittle confused now. Have you seen the 2 nd OS Yet ?? Did the first one officially and legally release you ?? And are you still seeing your original primary doctor?? Im so proud and glad to read , how helpfull fellow bonesmarties have been to you. Josephines a genius and other have hearts that are immeasurable. Id appreciate to hear a response and to know about the latest developments. God bless you. Ivan .. p.s an infection sight should be seen immediately by a licensed healthcare practioner immediately ! No waiting

Tonight is my bottom lip swollen until it is ready to split open .
I am guessing an allergic reaction to the new Tumeric capsules i bought . Just proves vitamins and supplements are not always good for us . Lol
Also found out if i take 5 bendrayl i will stagger around like a drunk :)
Called dr she said take antihistmines or go to ER

@icep707
Thanks yes , my typing is confusing . I have the gift of gab . Though harder to express in writing .
I did see the second ortho i thought when I asked him in person and he said he would see me . Which he did . But while at that appointment he stated I was to go back to first Dr. As first dr had not released me .
Neither him nor I knew that operating Dr. Had .
Only when I called operating Drs. Office to be seen because of concern of possible infection . Talked to three staff members . Then third one stated she had just talked to Dr. Mc-------- in person and he said since I went to other Dr . For second opinion I was no longer his patient . Very curtly stated this imagine she was copying Drs. Tone .
I really have beat myself up over this thinking how could I have been so stupid ?
Truth is I really want to give the dr a peace of my mind. I have more questions for him that were never answered . As he said 90 rom would be my success. Why?
I know I will find a new dr to take me and it will all work out .
I just wasted so much time with the operating dr. I think I may have missed the Supposed window of opportunity for MUA.
Thanks for listening . I loved your input look forward to hearing from you .

My suggestions:
FORGET: "window of opportunity for MUA"
FORGET: ROM

It is just too soon. It takes a YEAR+ to recover from this traumatic surgery.

I have had multiple surgeries in my lifetime. Things I have learned from them: Surgeries that involve breaking bone are a LOT more painful and traumatic vs. soft-tissue surgeries. Surgeries that are traumatic (and my rtkr was one of the worst) take approx a year+ to recover from. The best healer of all after a traumatic surgery is TIME. Having a TKR doesn't completely take away the pain - it will probably greatly reduce it, but it won't completely take away the pain.

Concentrate on your BoneSmarties' exercises/stretches.

@NuNe4Me
Thank you . I keep thinking when os said my bones had fused that they must have cut there also . I am guessing that was the reason for high tibial ostomy.
I keep trying to go beyond the 90 rom . It is like there is a stop there it does not budge .

Everyone that has supported me; I finally made first step to finding an Ortho to correct my issues. I called the operating Dr's office to request medical records. I am aware it is so overdue. Of course when I called medical records they gave me voicemail. It may take my being persistent to get my records. I will. I am grateful for the help, advice support from everyone that has encouraged me.

Doing paperwork to get hospital records now. Dr's office said they do not keep the model info on replacements. Seems like more run around. Also saw from Dr's records I was diagnosed with severe anemia while in hospital. Never told never treated. When my GP did blood work that office told me. Any reason I am sick of these Dr's fooling me around? They could have treated it way before Jan and price of more blood work. No wonder I was so tired!

Usually only the hospital will have the sticker sheet with the implant information.
Can't believe they did not treat your anemia :hairpulling:. Just knowing would have helped you understand why you were so tired.
All the best,
