Things didn't really go pear shaped, the just improved really really slowly. It was hard at times when I'd read of others being all done and dusted after 12 weeks with ROM of 135 and I was still down way less than that and months more post op.
The only real issue I have is the quad lag, which means I can't raise my leg straight. It lags around 10degrees but it was 30degrees at the start. The inner range quads wouldn't fire for months and my knee would give way, but never caused me to fall over. As you get further through my thread you'll see info on the quad lag from Orthodoc. But this doesn't stop me doing things, just means I have to be careful on inclines. When I fell about two months ago it was my other knee that gave way. I'm having MRI early November to see whats going on there and also having EMG/nerve conduction tests on my TKR quads to see if its femoral nerve damage from the nerve block.
