Knee Infection Finally Finishing Up

I am praying for your complete recovery! You have been through so much. You have to be a strong woman!

I'm glad they decided to not open it up today. You want to let that heal as much as possible. I just came back from the ER myself, but not for me. My mom is having chest pains, we ended up leaving her there for the night.

Be sure and let us know about your mom! She is prayed for!

Had a follow up appointment today. Loos like they are going to do an I&D and add some more internal stitches tomorrow. This is all with the plastic surgeon. My ortho said that all the allografts have been ordered and that everything is looking great. We are just waiting for the flap to totally heal. The good thing about this procedure is that they are also going to take out all my staples/stitches while I am knocked out :) There are a bunch in my other thigh where the graft was taken out.

@PegGar16 you have had quite a day, and another one tomorrow. Hope tomorrow night finds you relaxing and taking good pain medicines. Please let us know how it goes tomorrow.

A Bright light. My grandson was born at 1230 yesterday afternoon:)

Peggy you have had your share of challenges, I pray for a speedy recovery for you.

Grandbabies do make things better don't they?

Feel better:flwrysmile:

Congratulations! What absolute fun you'll have, Peggy! For now you can just hold him and take in that lovely baby smell!

What a sweet little grandson, Peggy. :hi:little darling.
Does he have a name yet?

Thanks everyone! That have named him Brayden Robert and he is such a joy in our lives. My other son just can't hold and cuddle him enough. It has been such a tough few years for my family loosing parents and grandparents (my health issue) that to see and feel the joy has my heart bursting:)

I had the procedure on my knee done yesterday and was home last night it feels so great to have all the staples and stitches out. They did add another drain. Everything is going well and it feels great (considering). I'll post a picture a little later when I unwrap it.

[Bonesmart.org] Finally Finishing Up My nephew and his wife gave my parents their first great grandchild, Finnegan Kenneth (my dad is Kenneth). They just love him as do we all.

Hello,
Not too much of an update but something. I saw the plastic surgeon last week and she took out one of the drains. The other drain in the knee will be taken out next week when I see the OS. The PICC comes out tomorrow...YA!!!! I am so tired of having all the tubing between them, they hook on everything. I think the final surgery (fingers crossed) will be the second week of December. It is getting done:)
