THR Double hippy happy<

That's probably why my hubby loves me so much, I'm a tomboy at heart, have no time for frills, fluffy, pink etc. Don't like high heels, never have. Hate skirts and dresses, give me jeans, t-shirt and boots and I'm happy :) Think I've saved him a small fortune hehe
The way I do it with shoes, or anything else is, have I got the cash for it? If not, I don't really need/want it. By the time I do have the cash, I've found something better or cheaper :)

It has been a rough month and opening the floodgates now and then helps a lot.
Shoe shopping, eugh, but has to be done. The cane should be easier to sort, I know a few places that sell them.

Today is good, been busy sorting out the house trying to make space for some of my mums stuff. Grr kids and their clutter........

In other news, the bruise is fading fast, no pain at all now unless I stand on tip-toe for too long :)

Happy Friday! @SarahUK The day is already 1/2 over for you.

Well, it sounds like it's good you had all boys, @SarahUK tomboy!

What would you have done..having a little girl, she's insisting you wear matching dresses
while having imaginary tea parties on the floor, sipping from delicate tea cups,
painted with pretty roses, polished pinky in air. Of course the dress would be ballet pink in color with
a chiffon overlay and pretty silky ribbons adorning your long flowing curls. Add to
that any lipstick that an unskilled young make-up artist may have applied to the wrong
area of your face. Quite the picture I've painted, huh?!!! Wake up, wake up.....it was all
just a horrible dream!

Love ya, Sarah girl! Just wanted to put a lil o smile on your face!
Sending a hug and warm wishes for a great weekend!!

I think if I'd had a girl, we'd be homeless. Daddies little princess - spoilt rotten, 'daddy can i...' 'Yes pet' etc etc.

So so glad I had all boys, saves a fortune on clothing as well. I insist on new shoes for them though.

Think I overdid the stairs earlier, top of thigh on op leg is aching a bit :/

/Mentally erases picture of little girl and replaces with 4 boisterous lads :D
Much better hehe

I am so happy I had boys-was afraid I’d have a girly girl and wouldn’t know what to do.

So @SarahUK, since you overdid the stairs earlier, what will you do?:chinstroke:

:ice::ice::ice:

Oh Sarah, you are a hoot!
I love the part about mentally erasing the picture of a little girl and replacing it with
four lads.
Boys are so different! Having one of each, boys are easier I can attest to that,
sssh....I didn't say that!!
Plunk that sore leg and booty down on some ice and whistle for one of those lads to peel you a grape! :loll:
@SarahUK

Yes @MammaT lots of ice sorted it. 4 boys close in age, clothing gets passed down, toys and games get passed down, once outgrown or no longer played with, they either get binned or go to charity.

@Layla My late dad told me after I had my eldest that no matter how many kids I had, they would all be boys - he was right. Definitely easier in many respects. I once babysat a girl and, Oh My God was she a handful, wouldn't eat, sleep, let me change her or bathe her. After many hours battling with her, she finally gave in and slept.
Spent a good hour and a half on the sofa with ice and a glass of whisky, don't like grapes, so gorged on chocolate instead :heehee:

Not as sore this morning, hip feels good, ankle feels great. Just a stinking headache to deal with :/
CT day today. Let's see what they find, good or bad, I can take it. Should hopefully get answers today. will update later on.

Have a good day all!!

So glad that nasty bruise is going away...YAY.
I'm certain that this will be a great year for you.
Ditto for me on the girly stuff and expensive clothes and makeup.
My SO lucked out in that regard too.
My new tennis shoes are wonderful though, Sketchers, nothing fancy but memory foam and air cooled.
I think you might like the Crocs worth no back..I saw some that were suede type, not those rubber round clown shoes.
Splurge on good shoes, so you will have a good Under Standing!

Ice is amazing. Seems like over the years they have looked to pills for so many things, the simple solutions were overlooked. I will take pain meds after surgery, but I think my friendly ice packs will help curtail the amount. From the materials my os office is giving out with this hip, it appears they have had a change in the last year and a half since my first one. More focus on multimodal pain therapy-narcotics as needed, ice, Tylenol, anti inflammatory and elevation.

Some intuition your dad had, huh? Predicted all boys and he was right!
Having one of each I found girls to be fussier and they whine more. I noticed this in my daughter's friends, not my child of course. Bahahaha! Who am I trying to kid :heehee:
You've painted a picture dear, Sarah and I'd agree girls would not be your forte'

Great news you're not as sore today. Also that the bruise is fading and your ankle is feeling better.
Sorry about the nagging headache. I pray all goes well with the CT today and you have good news.
Please keep us posted.....Big Hugs!

/Looks at @Mojo333 avatar, boots-check, t-shirt-check and jeans - check. Yep, definitely a tomboy :D
I've got a pair of skechers, memory foam gel infused ones, really comfy but a pain with this ankle.
Had no luck shoe shopping :/ no cane either. Probably order cane online.

@Layla it seems to run in the family, well my dad anyway. There was a work accident many years ago and before it even got on the news my dad said 'it's (insert name here) ' and he was right. Whenever a male family member has died or been in a serious accident, I somehow know. Not as strong with female family members though.
Sounds nasty, but I find girls to be rather spoilt and very whingey. I got what I was given and if I didn't like it, tough luck.

Headache has nearly gone. Had CT, just waiting on consultant appointment now for results.
Ankle is looking a lot better, still strapped up to keep swelling down.

Hey @SarahUK-Amazon has good selection of canes! Good luck with test results.

It sounds as though he was extremely intuitive, Sarah
I'm glad your headache is going and ankle continues to heal.
Assuming CT results next week?
Hope your night is peaceful!
@SarahUK

Hopefully get results next week @MammaT . This is where I start going through all scenarios and then get told nothing wrong :) My mum had a cane, it might be worth looking at that one first - we were both the same height. If it isn't right then I'll buy one.
He was very intuitive, he knew I was expecting my first son before I did, he said I changed my habits and he just knew.
Headache just about gone, I hate these all day ones. Ankle is looking ok, hip complained loudly earlier, I over stretched it reaching for something...ouchy :( Iced for an hour and it stopped grumbling at me :)

I know your state of mind-I can run through every condition possible and be told I’m just fine. Why do we do that to ourselves?

Hopefully your mum’s cane is adjustable.

I have no idea why we do that to ourselves @MammaT but I do it every time I have a blood test, x-ray etc. Until I get the results, I'll be going through every situation, condition etc and probably all for nothing.

Headache returned and brought a few friends, got a sore throat, cough and generally feel like hibernating for a week.
As far as I know, it's adjustable, if not I'll see if it fits right. Amazon do have a nice selection of canes I will admit, may get one from there if all else fails :)

Oh no @SarahUK- not a cold! Hope it stays as a cold and not the flu. Both seem to be rampant everywhere this year. Do rest and drink plenty of fluids. You may just need to hibernate for a week. At least the hip and ankle aren’t too bad right now.

I am busy today with church and the this afternoon going to watch 5 year old grandson at a wrestling tournament. Will give me a break from house set up. Right hip was nagging all last night, but I figure I can tolerate a week more.

Rest today and hope cold doesn’t get too miserable.

I thought I'd managed to avoid it, but when one of mine gets a cold, we all get it.
Hip and ankle are behaving themselves today.
Drinking is all I can manage at the moment, food turns my stomach, just can't face it.
Had a mishap last night, stubbed my toes on the op leg, turned too fast and kept on going forward....straight into the door frame....ouch :gaah:

I wish I was a bear and in hibernation right now all warm and snuggly :)

Ugh! Colds...they are such a nuisance!
I think with four kids in the house it would be difficult to not catch their colds.
Droplets in the air from coughing, touching all the same door handles and all else.
Thankfully your hip and ankle aren't bothering you also....Yay!
Drinking lots of fluids is the best right now anyway :mcoffee:
Make it your mission to settle in for a long, cozy, winters nap today
Feel better, Sarah....flinging a hug across the pond :console2:
@SarahUK

Oh @SarahUK, isn’t it amazing how those door frames like to jump right in front of us. And how they only do it when we have something else going on.
