THR Double hippy happy<

You're ambitious! I wish I felt like going through chests, closets, cabinets. I'll do a little in the Spring once the days get longer, brighter and I can fling the windows open for short times during the day. It is a good feeling and we certainly outgrow the need for waaay more than clothing! Why is it we accumulate so much stuff in life? I guess I'll speak for myself :heehee: Yep, you're right to listen to those hips, no ODIC during the holidays.
Have a great week!
@SarahUK

The lads drawers and bedroom got totally blasted. Everything that didn't fit them went to the local charity shop, anything that they was tattered and holey got binned - they actually have space now for new items as needed!!
My room got the same treatment though not much got binned. All the blankets got brought downstairs ready for a wash before being put on beds. The best bit is, my hips didn't complain once!!

Having a purge of old, unused items once in a while is therapeutic I find, mainly because shopping for new is just as therapeutic :)

Have a good weekend all!!

Your new hips are serving you well! :happydance:
You're giving me the Spring cleaning itch, Sarah, and it's only December.
I like your thinking on donating, then replacing....I think you're on to something there :wink:
A great weekend to you!
@SarahUK

That all sounds so positive! Not sure I fancy all that sorting out but have a bit of time off over Christmas so might do some clothes sorting. It is lovely to have two pain free hips....

Hi Sarah,
I hope you had a nice Christmas. It feels so far removed already, at least to me it does.
Wondering how you're doing? I hope all is well with you.
You're coming up on six months already with your new left hip.
Let us know how you're doing next time you stop by, would love to hear.
A great 2019 to you!
@SarahUK

Me too..:curtsey:what Layla said.

Hope all is well worth you and the boys @SarahUK

Hi All!!

Left hip feels fantastic! Have a hospital appointment on saturday with one of the other surgeons staff to try and get to the bottom of why I cant lie on the right side still.

Xmas was tough for obvious reasons but otherwise went well, fairly quiet as well.

My eldest has decided that he wants to go to Uni after he finishes college, so proud of him and all he's achieved.

@SurreyGirl it needed doing and it feels so good clearing out all the clutter etc. It's not something I wouldve enjoyed doing pre-surgery but now, I don't think twice about it.

So far managed to stay out of the ODIC, well...maybe had a toe in the door.....

Hi @SarahUK
It's nice to hear from you! Great news on your left hip doing well. I hope you get to the bottom of why Righty is sensitive to the pressure of lying on it. You'll have to let us know what you learn.
You should be proud of your son. He's moving in the right direction.

I'm starting to feel pressure to jump on the de-clutter train. It's all you hear about these days on the tv and everywhere you turn, thanks to Marie Kondo. However, I vow I will never look at anything and question whether it sparks joy, that's where I draw the line. :heehee:

Enjoy the rest of the week and stay in touch :flwrysmile:

:wave: I am so glad to hear you are doing mostly well..I have one hip that is less comfortable to lay on too:shrug:
Thankfully it isn't the side I usually like to be on anyway..I have to sleep facing the door in my bedroom.
Do let us know what they say.
I know you are very proud of your son.
Mine is getting married in April!
Exciting times!
Hope all continues to get better, double hippy pal!:thumb:

Hey all!!

Appointment went really well. Arrived at hospital and got sent off for an xray, both implants looks fantastic and well settled. Saw the registrar after and he had a good poke and prod of the right hip. Pressed a bit too hard on one area and I jumped, it's definitely a bad case of trochanteric bursitis, ended up having a large dose of steroid and now my leg is aching - I'm used to this after the last one so I know what to expect. He wants me back in 6 month to see how I'm doing and if another dose is needed or some different measures.

@Mojo333 Congratulations to your son :)

@Layla I de-clutter whenever I feel the need to, not because someone tells me to.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend all!

Good news, Sarah. I hope the injection brings you relief soon.
Nice to have the reassurance all looks good.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
@SarahUK

Sorry about the bursitis...but glad implant is all good
Hope the injection brings you relief.
Trying to figure out what Mother of the Groom should wear..
My mother says protocol dictates incoming MIL to wear beige and keep her mouth shut.
That's probably not going to happen on either count!:heehee:

Hi all!

Had a bit of a scare at the weekend, I slipped and fell on ice in my back garden. Luckily all I ended up with was a bruised knee. Both hips stayed firmly where they should be. Spent the majority of this week resting and doing as little as possible. Naturally, the other half has been worried and it's taken all my 'powers of persuasion' to reassure him that I'm fine.

Hope everyone is doing ok and healing well!

Oh no! Scary :yikes:
Icy here also, keeping me in the house more than I care to be.
Its good to hear you're okay, Sarah. I understand hubs concern, he loves you :loveshwr:
I hope you're feeling better and your bruising vanishes quickly.
Thanks for dropping by, it's always nice to hear from you. Enjoy the weekend!
Hugs :friends:
@SarahUK

:scare:Oh my stars...I'm so glad you're okay.
No falling from now on, promise?

Hope the bursitis has eased and that things continue to get better and better!
Have a great weekend, friend!

Hi All

Bursitis has eased slightly, not as much as I'd like but I'll take whatever relief I can get.
I can't promise no more falling Mojo.....I'll try my best no to though.

The weather is starting to get better so I can finally get started doing a few jobs in the garden that have been neglected over the last few months.

Have a great weekend all!

I'm with you on the falling...as I've relayed before on the forum..
My mom said she's glad she didn't name me Grace.:curtsey:

Have a beautiful day, Sarah!:roseshwr:

Hi Sarah :wave:
It's always nice to hear from you.
Great news that the bursitis is easing somewhat.
Getting out in the garden is only something I can dream about this time of year here.
I hope you have a great weekend. Happy Valentines Day!
@SarahUK

Hi @SarahUK
We haven't heard from you in awhile.
Wondering how you're doing...hoping all is well and that the bursitis has eased even more since you last posted. Leave us an update next time you stop by. Need a SarahUK fix :heehee: want to hear how all your men are doing. With any luck you're keeping them all in line. Hope to hear from you soon. :yes:

Hi @Layla , all is well here apart from me battling an awful cold :(
The lads are all doing well, I'm keeping them busy with garden tidying and housework while I rest and try get over this cold.

Bursitis has remained about the same. Not letting it stop me from doing what I want (within reason, don't want any more trips to the ODIC).

Hope you're all doing well :)

Enjoy the rest of the week!
