THR Double hippy happy<

Boy am I suffering today, muscle ache and bruising. I'd forgotten how achy I felt after having had previous steroid injections. This should pass in a day or 2 and then I can see if I'm able to finally lie on that side.

Hope you are both doing well and not overdoing it!!

I don't know if I've been overdoing it, but I've been doing it all week..so I'm grateful for a break from some of the running around.

Very tender. I've got my lot doing housework and out in the garden clearing out old shrubs and bushes.

It is so easy to overdo stuff. I did the other day and, boy, was I sore for a few days after.
I'm certainly taking it easy for the next day or so while this settles down.

Hey all. Sorry for not getting back sooner but, I've yet again been ill. Bronchitis returned with a vengeance so I've been nursing a sore back and side due to coughing.
Unfortunately the steroid injection doesn't seem to have helped as lying on my right is still painful, the left however is great, I'm back in bed and sleeping like a log. I'm also busy looking after my 18 yr old who has managed to damage his knee to the extent he can't walk on it. He's currently sat on the sofa with a bag of frozen peas wrapped around his knee hehe.

I'm sorry you're going through a rough patch, Sarah.
I've never suffered through a bout of bronchitis but can relate to being sore from coughing too hard.
So sorry to hear the injection isn't working. At least you're sleeping well in all of this. I wish you and your son well. I hope you both begin to feel better quickly.

Looking up some special oldies but goodies today and you come to mind.
How have you been? I'm imagining well. Are you keeping all 5 of your men inline?
We're cold in my area. Lots of snow dumped last night. I hear snow plows in the street and neighbors driveway as I'm typing. It's cold and windy today also. Brrr! Guess it's to be expected this time of year.
I'll bet you're busy prepping for the holidays. Tree up yet? I did mine last weekend. Just enjoying it now.

Hi Layla, life is more or less back to normal now. Left hip has been perfect, no problems at all with it apart from a slight dip in the muscle at the front which doesn't bother me at all. Right, on the other hand, is still painful to lie on. I have an appointment early next year to see the consultant and hopefully get to the bottom of it all.

No tree as yet, somehow I don't think we'll bother this year as I'm not in the right frame of mind for it after last year.
All the men are happy except the hubby who has a stinking cold :( He's at home complaining and whinging, as men do....

Just went through that last week.
Usually strong uncomplaining DH gets a cold, and he is infirmed..and sour.
I'm afraid I'm not exactly a sympathetic soul.
I mean, after what we have been through..

I'm glad all is well with Lefty. Wish your right Hip wasn't bothering you though.
Hopefully you'll get it figured out with your visit and be able to move forward.

The tree and all the decor is great, ONCE ITS UP. It's the getting it there that gets less and less
appealing as I've aged. I really had to push myself this year and I still want to do window boxes outdoors but not relishing the thought of roaming around outdoors at the garden center in 23D / -5C and no sunshine, not fun! I think I just talked myself out of it for another day

Have to laugh at men with colds. I know exactly what you're talking about. My biggest problem is trying to get mine to wash his hands when he has one. Touching everything after he blows his noses just like a child. Maddening!

I hope your week is a good one, Sarah, and I'm wishing you comfort with Righty until you get some answers.

Hey you two, not such a good week. My 18 year old came home from college with a cut on his nose and a bust lip thanks to some idiot at college playing football and not looking where they kicked the ball..... Finally had enough of the hubby moaning about his cold so kicked him out of bed and told him to either go to work or go the doc.....he went to work....peace
Yes Mojo, after what we all went through, a cold is nothing in comparison hehehe

Getting ready for Friday as I'm dog-sitting a gorgeous german shepherd for the day....biggest softy I know, and so darn sweet natured.

Hubby has quit whinging about his cold finally. Off out tonight to celebrate 21 years of marriage!!

Thanks Layla and Mojo Had a great night out, fantastic food and drink. How I didn't end up with a hangover is beyond me, had a bit too much to drink.

Friday was full of fun with the dog, I have her again on Monday.
I think my carpet had more fur on it than what was on the dog, spent a couple of hours hoovering up after she'd gone home. As promised, here's a pic of the gorgeous girl...

My furry friend is currently fast asleep next to me and boy can she snore!
The hoover will be working overtime tonight to clear all the fur she's shed. It's worth the effort though

Tomorrow is the start of my winter clear out, get all the upstairs cupboards and drawers organised, throw out old stuff that no longer fits any of the boys. I shall of course be listening very carefully to both hips and stopping at the first sign of pain. The last thing I want to do is join the ODIC again....once or twice is enough for me.
