THR Double hippy happy<

Aww, Sarah
Nudging not too bad. At least you didn't kick the door to the ODIC open.
Keep up with that little miracle worker ice and you'll be good in no time.
Feels so good though to feel useful and like you're getting back into your routine.
It will come.
Hope your weekend is good otherwise. Wishing you a great week to come!
@SarahUK

Yes it does feel good to be useful. Spent today resting and doing nothing. Another week or two and I'll be easing back into doing more.
I have no intention of kicking open the ODIC door, ajar will suffice hehe

Have a great week!!

Hope you have been getting some mobility back and everyone is behaving!
Hope the rest of your week goes well.
I'm working for the weekend!
You probably have it easier during the week with your crew!

Hey Sarah,
Haven't heard from you in a few days.
Hoping all is well. I'll bet you're feeling more mobile this week.
Going on a month already in a mere 3 days! Unbelievable.
Wishing you a great end to the week.
Hugs :friends:

Hey Layla & Mojo, all is well here.

The usual aches and pains that are normal in recovery, I've dropped a crutch and am cruising slowly with one, gaining confidence each day on it. Got my follow up appointment through for the 5th Sept, can't wait to see what he has to say. I'm also going to try and get a copy of my x-rays for my own personal records.

After a good inspection of scar and remaining scabs, I decided to have a very quick shower, and oh my days do I feel 100% better. Quickest shower in history mind but......I'm clean!!! Scabs remained intact, scar looks good, just some minor dry skin on the perimeter.

Hope you all have a great weekend!!

You too...Yay for Shower!:yes:

You sound great, Sarah.
Those first few showers are wonderful, quick..but satisfying nonetheless.
I hope you have a great weekend too!
@SarahUK

:wave:Thinking of you and hoping all continues to improve.
Have a relaxing Sunday!:ice:

Hope you're doing well, Sarah.
Haven't heard from you in a bit.
Stopped by to say Hi :hi: and wish you a great week as you continue healing.
@SarahUK

All going well here. Showers are great Jackie, so glad I kept the bath board from previous surgery.
Cruising around happily on one crutch, have taken a few steps without but a slight limp appeared so back on it.
Hoping to walk in to hospital without it but we'll see how it goes.
I see my consultant on the 5th September, that should be a fun day
I've taken over a few of the household chores, cooking, cleaning worktops, stopping as needed to rest.

Have a great week all!!

Glad to hear you're moving right along, Sarah.
Getting back to some household chores.
Let us know how you appt goes next week.
I'll keep fingers crossed you can walk in to your appt unaided. :fingersx:
Hope you have a lovely week!
@SarahUK

:wave:Just popping by to say hope you are getting better every day.
I know you must get tired still very quickly...one month out...my stamina was just not there.
Wishing you a good day !:SUNsmile:

Hey all!!

Just got back from my 7 week check....I'm cleared to do whatever the heck I like! walking, hill climbing, hiking and horse riding are all back.
He had me walk round his office with no crutch, no apparent limp, legs are even. I can bend both hips to 100 degrees lying on my back and bringing knees to chest. He had me balance on my left leg only and I passed that with flying colours, same with the right. He doesn't want to see me for a year!!

I've attached a copy of my CT and of the post-op x-ray that shows off my 2 beauties :)

Have a great week all!!

Woohoo! :happydance: You must be so excited, Sarah. I'm happy for you. :yay: Watch out, here she comes. :egypdance:
You're doing so well. Thanks for sharing the good news and your pics.
A great rest of the week to you.
@SarahUK

Great news ....:ok:I've got some Xrays that resemble those:) :-) (:
My niece looked at them and decided I'm bionic and warns the other children if they don't mind what I say, I can "kick them to the moon":heehee:

Hey all, to be cleared to do what I want is fantastic. The only downside is my jeans no longer fit, not bothered, it's the perfect excuse to go shopping :D
Cruising round the house with no crutch but going into town I take it, not risking a fall on the uneven pavements around here.

Needless to say, the other half is much happier with how this recovery has gone, he had visions of me being laid up for months. Had to keep telling him, different approach, surgeon and recovery, I think he finally got it when I started using one crutch at the 4 week mark or thereabouts.

Have a great weekend all!

So glad this recovery has been smooth.
No falling now! :bignono:
Hope your weekend is sweet!:SUNsmile:

Hi Sarah,
Happy Two Month Anniversary!
You crossed my mind this morning.
Haven't heard from you in a couple weeks. Assuming all is well and you're jumping back into life.
Leave an update when you have time, would love to hear.
May it only get better! :SUNsmile:
