Part of why I'm feeling more confident this time around is because of people like you and Doodles and Kim who have shared your journey with us. While I really appreciate your kind words about my positive attitude, I will share that part of the reason I made so many freezer meals prior to my surgery is because part of me believed that I wouldn't make it through. I wanted to make sure that if I wasn't there, at least my husband and son would have good, solid meals for a little bit. I wanted them to know I was there for them on some level.
I really stressed myself out before that surgery. While I fully realize that no surgery is without risks and the unexpected can happen, I'm able to be a lot kinder to myself this go around.
So, there's my personal 'side by side video'. I think it must be very common.
