THR Cisne on the other side

Hopefully whatever is going on will resolve itself. I'm glad some things have been ruled out. I wish you well. Cheryl

Wow @Cisne that to me is a long ways off. I didn't know what to say I am praying and also looking forward to what Josphine has to say
I honestly don't know what they do if you're allergic. I will be on later tonight and check be on you this was just a fast on and off phone to see how the doctor went

I'm sorry you have to wait until October.
That feels so far off.
You must be a very patient person.
I hope it resolves on its own before then so you are able to move forward.
Will be thinking of you, remembering you in prayer and checking for updates.
Enjoy the evening....

Michele, I am bummed about your pain. That is just wrong.
You actually went in for a committee meeting? I am calling in to a quarterly meeting next Tue. It is in OKC and I'm not making a 150 mile R/T for a committee meeting.
Did they actually let you show up for a meeting? I'm not supposed to be at the university, period. They don't want the liability in case something should happen to my hip.
I'm glad you got to see your co-workers and the baby.
Take care of yourself and keep us posted.

It's week 7! The newest labs came in overnight: C reaction protein is now normal, but Sed rate is still elevated. To add fun to the mix, neutrophils are up, lymphocytes are low, and basophils are borderline high. @Josephine Can you shed any light on this?

Walking continues to be uncomfortable/painful and the limp is still present. As my hippy twin @dougie0216 posted his x-ray I'll do the same in a bit. As a unilateral hippy, I'm not as hip as he is! Went to school and chatted with my principal about the fact that I'll need to sit some at the start of the year. He was fine w that. I've figured out my classroom theme, now to make it happen. I have a feeling it's going to be a busy two weeks!

Hope everyone is well!
Michele

Hi @Cisne,
Hopefully when Josephine sheds light on all it's favorable. It's nice you have an understanding principal, that sure helps. Figuring out your classroom theme must be fun. I recall playing school as a kid, wanted to be a teacher. I think a lot of little girls do. I hope your labs continue to improve and you can put this behind you like a blip on the screen.
A great evening to you!

@Cisne I survived the 1970's, I'm definitely hip.

That was some impressive jargon you used above.
I hope it doesn't indicate an allergy.

After my LTHR, I still had pain walking, especially after the first few steps for 18mos. I still had some swelling out to 4 mos. The worst thing for swelling was sitting at my desk. For my prior hip replacement, my former boss bought me an $800 ergonomic work of art/chair. It didn't help, my hip and torso were still roughly at a 90-degree angle. I didn't tell him the chair didn't help.

When I go back in Aug, I am going to take some ice packs with me. I told my boss I might have to change into sweat pants to ice in the afternoon. So I will probably take running shoes, sweats and ice with me for a month or two. I'll transition to leather shoes sometime in the fall.

Day 51: I tried to upload my hip pic x-ray) as promised, but it's too large and I'm not certain how to change that. It's been a busy two days. Yesterday a friend and I made the hour drive to the local teacher store where I found a couple of things for my classroom. We visited w her family for a bit, which included sitting on the floor to play w two toddler nieces. My friend's SIL is facing a THR, and I think it made her feel better to see that I was on the floor sitting cross-legged. We hit the bookstore , had lunch then a quick trip through target. Overall I was feeling pretty good. This morning I got up early to drive the two hours to the North side of Indy to watch my son's AAU game. Because of my hip I had sent him w my basketball loving mother. I surprised E, then we found out the game hadbeen canceled. We had lunch and I drove home. They will be back tomorrow. I had planned on stopping at a couple places on the way home, but quickly decided it was too much. The ride up was pain free. Walking was a little tougher! Coming home was a bit rough as I'd forgotten my Tramadol. I'm home have had some ice cream, and am now icing and resting. I suspect a nap is in order! Bonus news: no fever for several days now and the rash has faded to what resembles a large bruise.
Have an awesome day hippies!
Michele
