THR Cisne on the other side

@Cisne How is you? We are coming up on 6-weeks!
The church where the funeral was today had padded seats as opposed to pews! We had to run some errands and we also took a friend to lunch who spoke at the service. Yes I was hurting by the time I got home. Took a pill and am iced and elevated. Tomorrow is as PT day off!!

Thank you. He was a good guy in regards to his speaking his mind. He didn't have any secrets so you always knew where he stood and what his opinion was on things; even if I disagreed, which was often. I'm from Texas originally, and he was a huge OU fan. I wore burnt orange a lot just for his benefit.

Day 41: almost to 6 weeks. I say my surgeon today. X-rays look good. Still stumped on the rash. I'm to discontinue the topical steroid for now. Still another six weeks before I can return to TKD. He had first said six weeks. Waiting is not the end of the world. He feels the limp is mostly swelling, but suggests I try heat not ice. I'm also to start scar massage and using a roller. Next to PT where I was cleared to not come back unless something flairs. PT suggested I see my GP due to the rash.
Hope all is well with you all,
Michele

Happy 6 week birthday to my right hip and to @dougie0216 's left hip! Per my PT's suggestion I saw my GP today who was concerned re my rash, swollen glands and fever. He is thinking that either I'm allergic to a component or have an infection. We should have test results in 72 hours. Based on results we will work w my surgeon to try to identify the allergy or with infectious diseases staff. Hope everyone is well. I'll update we I know more.
Michele

Thanks Carol for the positive thoughts. I know God's got this. Hope you are well!
Michele

Michele, on man, I am so sorry you have all those unpleasant things going on. Keep us posted.

Hey @dougie0216 ! It's okay. I really trust my GP. He's a good guy. The "perk" of small town life is we all know one another-I've taught a couple of his kids. I may or may not be stalking the online portal to see re labs. So far no results! How are YOU?
Michele

I'm great, aside from having to work from home WAY to much today. Department head... They are just so disrespecting of my FMLA...

@Cisne sending prayers and positive vibes for a simple solution and easy treatment for whatever is causing the fever, rash, etc.

Take care!

So, my GP just called to tell me that my sed rate and C-reactive protein are both elevated. After 24 hours my blood cultures are negative, but he will check them again on Monday. Because of my 2 week plus rash that started at my incision site and has spread, along w the fact I've had a low grade fever for two days he said he will be calling orthopedics. @Josephine What should I expect to happen next? GP feels it's either an allergic reaction to the implant or an infection.
Thanks,
Michele

That does sound worrying for sure @Cisne but please try not to jump to conclusions. I will pray for a good outcome. I wish you well. Cheryl

Hey @dougie! Go, have fun, but be careful! It's another lazy day here. Only had a fever off and on today. I'm hoping that's good news! Waiting to hear from my orthopod as my go was. Along this morning about my high sed rate and c reactive protein levels. GP thinks rash is either an allergic reaction or an infection. We will see. Until then I'm watching House Hunters International and knitting.
Michele

Sorry to hear about your rash. You've been doing so well. Hopefully the fever backing off is a good sign?
Remembering you in prayer today.
