ByGosh , dear friend, I've been with you in spirit over the weekend if not in person here. Adding my prayers and hopes to everyone else's. Tomorrow is Tuesday, I will be thinking of you a great deal! Thanks so much for having me on our Nylsor 's London tour (thank you Ros!!!)-- it was fabulous! I bought a couple of silk scarves to bring home, wearing them on the plane is so much easier than declaring them:heehee:

many many hopes for tomorrow.... :)

Nylsor what a good story teller you are:yes!: I totally enjoyed the tour of London. I have always wanted to come to visit. I wanted to do that back when Princess Diana was there. She was always Englands diamond and had everyone over here have an interest in the royals through her.
ByGosh I want to send you all the luck that tomorrow's doctor's visit and the shot are a success. I hope you are pain free and able to get up do the everyday things soon.

ByGosh. One more sleep until you go get your injections. I hope you are able to get to bed early and get a good nights sleep. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Keep me posted on how your appt. goes tomorrow! Take care my friend! You have a multitude of supporters and friends here on BS! Don't forget that! :puppysmooze:

ByGosh, what a wonderful thread with all the information, encouragement and trips! Nylsor, I absolutely loved our tour...I have always wanted to go to England and could easily imagine all you've described! ByGosh, to answer your questions, we grow corn and soybeans for feed for animals and a little hay, which mostly gets eaten by daughter #3's horses! While I detested the heat and humidity, the corn loved it and I swear it grew a foot in a week! We have been getting just the right amount of rain in between heat spells, so all looks good. Except the weeds in my flower gardens are growing too well! Oh well, next year I will have the perfectly manicured landscaping I picture in my mind. :rotfl: Oh, and zauberflöte, absolute genius! I will have to remember if I ever go overseas to buy wearable souvenirs!! :heehee:

Dear ByGosh, here's hoping tomorrow will bring you the relief you have patiently waited for for so long. I'll be thinking of you dear. Sleep well if you can. Loving and supportive thoughts from across the Pond    Ros xx
PS And when the shots have worked I'm taking you all to Cambridge for a day's outing! How about that? Mike's going to drive a mini-bus because there are so many of you.

anniemg Thanks for the different point of view about the hubby LeeApril26 Yes, he feels helpless, I'm sure. Plus he's no good at advocating or even understanding medical info. He does what he can do - which is work and provide for us and then do everything he can around the house. Sometimes it gets to a boiling point no matter what. It's totally understandable.
LeeApril26 I'm glad you got some sleep. Perhaps the valerian will be a good thing - and the tumeric, too. You're smart to try to take less of the prescription meds, or get off of them if you can.
Tai Chi sounds like another very good idea. I don't think it would matter if you went left or right or up or down with it, really. It's very slow and it's not like you're with a group of dancers trying to rehearse with a choreographer for a Broadway Musical. :) But, you never know what the future holds....

zauberflöte Nylsor sqwerlie sandybeach sandpiper LeeApril26 anniemg Thanks so much for the many well-wishes everyone! I'm just hoping it works. I know it can take a week, or perhaps not work at all, so we'll see...
If it doesn't work, I have to figure out what to do next... I'm going to take a pain pill before I go, and I need to ask him questions about it and I'm afraid I may not be as cognizant or remember as much...! And poor hubby can't verbalize any of this for me! I wrote some ques. down, I'll have to review it and have him take notes - he should be able to manage that.
I don't want to be negative, but I'm leary of the shots helping, as I had cortisone pre-op and it just made things worse.. Oh dear, I have to stop.
@Nylor Congratulations on the birth of the Prince - future King of England!!! :yay: My daughter and I are soooo excited. Good for Kate and William! It's such a happy event - I'll bet the Queen is all smiles. And Prince Harry will be such a fun uncle. Kate and William will make wonderful parents. I can't wait to hear the name, and to see the pictures when they leave the hospital.:)

Nylsor I empathize with your pre-op story every time I think of it! Poor thing - You went through so much, and you were absolutely right and so brave to go to an MD on your own. I still can't believe those doctors couldn't figure out it may have been your hip! You suffered needlessly. But that's in the past and you did the right thing and I'm proud of you.
Now you're here, being an absolute saint, helping me at such a low point in my life - all of you wonderful people are being so kind and caring. Just know that I appreciate it so much! I've never been so dependant and impaired physically and in so much pain. It's a terrible experience and I wouldn't want anyone to go through it. Thank you all so much!

zauberflöte I'm with sqwerlie - thanks for the tip about wearing souveniers! Now I'll have a reason to wear the crown I buy when I return from England! :) But how will I be able to wear the lovely little teacup and saucer? Or the commemorative plate? Oh well, guess I'll just have to declare some things....
sqwerlie I bet your corn is delicious now. I'm hungry just thinking about it. We haven't had much rain, but things have grown alot, so I imagine the farm looks healthy this year. What great news! Good for hubby and you.
what a wonderful thread with all the information, encouragement and trips!
You're right! This is the place where the best people on earth show how truly kind a person can be.

Hi Littlejem Congratulations on the prince being born! We were hoping for a little girl - just to see the cute dresses! I wasn't aware of the history part of it, I'll have to look that up as I don't know much about the royal family and the birth histories.
Thank you for your kind post. I'll let you all know what happens and how it all went.

Historically a boy child would always take preference over a girl to the throne, even if the girl was born first but the law was changed recently so that the first born, whatever sex would now come to the throne. :)

ByGosh I was hoping for a girl as it would have changed many years of discrimination against women in the royal family but its wonderful news for Kate and William who will be delighted with their first born the same as any other young couple.

I will be thinking about you tomorrow and hoping for a great result from the Cortisone x

I agree with anniemg. My husband, like most men, likes to fix things. Your pain is something he can't fix, so he is probably feeling powerless and frustrated. Sure, extra chores are a bummer, but watching you in pain is probably driving him nuts
ByGosh, If this is not the case, let me know...i'll order a squirt gun and hose him down!!!!:ok:

Kylesh jumps up and down waving her arms ByGosh -- I am here, over here. You just have such a large group of people wishing you well for tomorrow that it is hard to keep up with us all :)

Hope you don't mind, I was a stow away on your tour of London...it was great wasn't it? Afternoon tea reminded me of growing up with my mom. We would share an afternoon tea when she got off work, didn't matter that it was Florida and not the best weather for a hot cup of tea.

But how will I be able to wear the lovely little teacup and saucer? Or the commemorative plate?
You could get some wire and make earrings out of the little teacup and saucer and a necklace out of the commemorative plate. You know like the large clock that the one singer used to wear. :)

Kim22. Littlejem. Nylsor. Congratulations!

ByGosh. You need to believe it can work. We know my husband's worked, and we know it is much more difficult with hips-hard to reach the bone. This time it's tendons. It can work. It is the preferred method of treatment.
Fingers, toes and everything that can cross will be crossed. The Italian expression for good luck is: into the mouths of the wolves!

LeeApril26 Of course you're right, and thanks for once again talking some sense into me! What would I do without you and your education in logic? I'm so glad that's what you studied in school. It certainly has been helpful to me! :) It is an easier area to locate than the hip joint space, I'd imagine, and it's into the 'area' of the tendon he said. I didn't know that it was the preferred method of treatment. Did you research it a lttle?
I knew they used injections to treat it, but didn't know it was the preferred method. That's encouraging.

I have the ultrasound CD, so he can view it, and hopefully give me more information - such as what is the fluid that was seen - is it bursitis - if so, how to treat it? What about the bone spurs - will the prednisone eliminate them - are more likely to form again -can they be surgically removed -are they causing the tendonitis or are they the result of it? If I need additional injections, how soon can I get them? Should I go on Prednisone by mouth for a month if this isn't effective? What imaging is best to see the position of the implants - CT or MRI? How to diagnose if the implants are rubbing or impinging on the tissue?
Can you think of anything else? I welcome anyone's ideas to help me figure this out, get treatment, and get better. Not to be trite, but two heads are better than one - in this case, with all our heads put together, we should be able to get someplace.
Thanks for your Italian expression for good luck - it's even better than 'break a leg'! :)

Hey there Kylesh ! I'm glad you stowed away! I invited you post facto, as I knew you'd love to join us and Nylsor isn't as familiar with your name. She also hasn't been lucky enough to go on one of your amazing kayaking adventures. I couldn't leave my Kylesh behind! No way..:friends:
Thanks for making me laugh about my souveniers! That's about the way to do it - hey, it could become a real fashion statement. I've seen worse, that's for sure. I think the idea of miniature tea cup and saucer earrings would be adorable, though. And a minature matching cake plate necklace. Sounds so cute, my daughter would love it. I bet they even sell them in England... If not, they should!
Thanks for dropping by. I'll keep you posted on the procedure. Take care, I hope you're doing amazing. How's the knee?

anniemg squirt gun hosing LOL We were always playing around with squirt guns in the summer with the kids. He'd probably love it. I'll keep that in mind, just in case..
