Oh my goodness I couldn't find my thread! I want to start writing my issues on here so when I am mad at my dr and his office I am not putting all that negativity into all of your threads!
Josephine can you please change the name of my thread and call it Brownie's Good, Bad and Uglies

Thank you!
So you've all probably read my saga with my OS's office and bedside manner so you can take a nap now if you've heard it all already!
I believe I need my "good" knee replaced, at the least to have treatment, which my OS will not address because he says it's going to get better... even though I keep complaining that its getting worse, so painful. It actually feels worse than my TKR knee ever did before surgery. I hoped for a cortisone shot this week to help my recovery because it's hard to walk on it but my emails last Friday were ignored. (Calling and leaving messages is a waste of time) Also ignored were my PT office's 3 faxes over the last week, to renew my PT orders. My last session is tomorrow but hopefully the problem has been solved by my having them fax the orders to my primary doctor who has responsive conscientious staff. We'll see but I am not going to be freaked out if there is no more PT because I can do all of it at home. I have a borrowed exercycle and my own treadmill and a nice neighborhood to do my walking.
Only thing I'm lazy about is lining up a heated pool. In summer I will use my own pool. So I have pretty much decided to switch doctors and go to someone recommended by the nurses at the hospital and who does the minimally invasive procedure which my doctor does not do. So I wanted to see Nightquilter's OS but he does not take my insurance, very disappointed but another doctor is also recommended by the nurses so I have an appointment with him Jan. 10th.
I see my current OS next Thursday the 13th. I will be curious to see if makes any comment about my email to him, where I copied my email to his assistant. I mentioned that I had given up calling and leaving messages because they are never returned without multiple messages being left. I went through all this during the summer where they sat on scheduling my MRI and I ended up having to email the Dr that I was worried my custom implant was not going to be ready for my OR date. Suddenly they called me and said they'd line it up. They had 2½ months to get all the prep done but waited very late. My implanted was shipped out on the Friday before my Tuesday surgery. I was a nervous wreck. The doctor was not even aware that it had been cut so close.
So last night after reading Nightquilter's posts I was checking on the doctors on Healthgrade and Vitals and checked my current doc and he had many reviews about his awful bedside manner, rudeness, and the office got low stars. So I feel better knowing it's not just me being a whiner. Nightquilter's doc/PA's get back "immediately", I want to know I can get help if I need it! I had a wound infection and the only way I could reach my doctor ended up being to page him after hours. And I wouldn't have had the nerve to do that if my son hadn't told me to do it. My doctor doesn't leave time in the conversation for me to mention much especially not how many calls and email it took before I resorted to having him paged.
Same in the office, you ask a question about why something pops post op over the knee he just says it's fine, won't comment at all. I read all of you quoting your doctor's individual info yours give you at office visits about recovery etc. Nope none of that. My knee came out well and that's the important part but most docs are doing the minimally invasive now. I had assumed my guy was, we were distracted by a benign tumor so I hadn't asked early about that early on. So I found out when it was far too late to consider another doctor.
I guess I worry that sometime I might have a real concern such as a clot or more serious issue and won't get the help I need. This is a doozy of a surgery to have a physician like mine who has a dysfunctional office and personality. There were so many other issues but i've probably lost most of you by now!
So I will do these long drawn out complaints in my own threads.
So bottom line see my doc the dec. 13 and consulting with new doc Jan. 10th. Yeah!

And thank you all!!!!
