THR Aussie's Posterior LTHR

PE CON .... I am not just worried on the surgery it's all the other stuff too.... I am kinda down today. @mojo333 I can't figure out what's the matter with me... yesterday I was fine ...today..woke to early. First surgery I wasn't tense at all till right before they took me back. This time it's a pile on of fears.... Oh I know this hip needs replacing it's taking a mega beating. Why why now ...who gets post surgery blues months out????

PE CAN.... Im really sorry you are down. People arent used to that with us cheery types you know. I can always normally take everything in stride and my sister has always been the sensitive one. I said the other day, I could be lying in the floor with blood coming out of my eyes and my family and friends would say...when you get up, I need to ask you something? If my sister gets a sniffle, chicken soup arrives at her door. LOL.
I always used to think those dingy clingy cant do anything for themself people were stupid, but maybe not so much?
If I get reincarnated, Im coming back as a blonde bimbo with huge bazingas that cant even tote her own groceries in the house.
Sending you virtual hugs...best I can do from this far off

Thank you @Mojo333 I've always been the strong one too but I think my engine quit ... I also can't stand waking up hand or leg asleep
So much on my nerves

I also want to apologise to everyone I may be a huge drag today....maybe more....sorry

Why why now ...who gets post surgery blues months out????
Someone who just had major surgery 3 months ago and had a death in the family and has had a terrible virus they've been dealing with for weeks, THAT'S WHO!!!! You have withstood it all with grace and a sense of humor and enough left over to contribute some love and advice to strangers.
I think you deserve to have a big ole pity party if you need to.
I love you dearly, MyAussieGirl. You have made me smile so much through my bad times.
Your immune system has got to be shot out and your engine has run out of fuel due to post op energy drain, pre-op nerves even if you dont have your date, and life in general.
Things WILL get better I pray..

Aww @Mojo333 thank you I just feel like a failure. Like I can't pass life 101. I am also worried on my dog when I have the surgery hubby has a long drive dog will have to hold it as no friends or family and then home and my cat will miss me till bed cause they can't be in the same room. I just wanna smack me.

PEE CON

Hi @MyAussieGirl
My guess is post surgery blues could last as long as we are suffering any negative effects of surgery or recovery.
My understanding is they're allowed. I've had my days, even vented on here about it. I know others have also.

You've had a rough ride lately with another surgery fast approaching. Since you haven't felt well in awhile I'm sure the thought of a possible "repeat" is causing you distress. But remember, we hear often that no two surgeries are alike. Even with the same person. @dougie0216 comes to mind in that regard and I feel as though I've read the same of others.

If you get your intestinal woes figured out beforehand and can work carefully with your doctor on not having the same result next time around, you could be looking at a completely different scenario!
You probably felt good in the beginning because your intestinal tract wasn't rebelling against the meds at that point. In addition, with the next surgery fast approaching, your anxiety is probably ramping up. All completely normal.

We've got you though! Any number of us will be here to lift you in prayer and emotionally with words of encouragement. So don't you worry your sweet lil' self, all will work out!
You may be a loon (you said it) but you're a loveable loon!

Hi @Layla aww thanks yes all that and more and your post is so kind and sweet.... I am trying to fix the issues I had with my first couple of weeks like cleaning the toilet bowl so hubby doesn't have to... he's oddly been a saint but it's stuff like that that hang me up... I can't figure out how to fix some things.

Oh trust me on next surgery I Will not have issues with constipation...got all my stuff...that showers and hair all have to be addressed....

I love the idea of you all being here if I crash

EVERYONE in here rocks

Right now I should be fall cleaning but ..... I am on here now...though soon I'll be off.

Update coming

Update for all and @Josephine ... I spoke with the PA ...she said I am not impacted because I have had 15 totally normal bowel movements since the trip to Urgent Care...she said that and my tummy was felt in Urgent Care and the doctors office, that the feeling my abdomen while I sat wasn't perfect but booth doctors felt nothing and no pain ..Anyhow everyone feels virus as also the rash and diarrhea presented themselves at the same time. Sorry my punctuation stinks worse than normal I'm trying to beat the clock here.

I did go to the lake it was OK . Blew time.

I am not much on a brat diet the last few days ....like yesterday hubby made no sugar added pie blueberries yum.... I also had Mexican dinner it doesn't matter what I eat.

I think @Mojo333 and @Layla have said it all very well. You just need to hang in there and take it one day at a time. You've been through a lot besides the surgery. We are all here for you so vent and share you pity parties with us all and we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers :prayer::console2:

Well this is great as you continue to receive good news!
I hope it's helping you relax. You have time to continue recovery and go into the next surgery strong.
You know what to expect, how to prepare, what you'll want and need.
Plus now you have a bunch of new BS friends who are walking around with bionic parts just like you!
We're here, you can count on us and also hubby the SAINT! What more does a girl need.......
Sweet Dreams, @MyAussieGirl

Hugs @GrannyC Thank you I know you're all correct . I ask myself if someone else said or felt this or that what would I say it's pretty much what you all said though not worded as well..... I can't stand this version of me.

I had yesterday ... I had a slice of the no sugar added pie hubby made us. Yum. For a week now I eat what I want it hasn't mattered ...Hugs and love to you

Lol @Layla he is no saint .. Though today he loled and said I don't care if you wear your hair up... I was saying I hate ... I HATE that I pull my hair up in a ponytail of sorts due to heat. I am the Saint
 me not be him

Aawww @MyAussieGirl I've been gone off and on the last while and come back and read how down you been. I'm so sorry to hear this. I feel in my heart that you will get through this and we're all here to support you. Venting on here is good for your soul, don't keep your feelings inside or they just fester within. And we are your friends and understand what you're going through. You are healing in many ways, not just from major surgery. Plus now contemplating another surgery too. I wish you well. Cheryl

I can strongly identify with your post/pre op blues @MyAussieGirl. I am 8 days post op after my 2nd THR my first the left hip was on the 8th December 2016. I was supposed to see my OS in April , but due to family, work, money problems I cancelled my appointment, and had many nights with very little sleep due to bone on bone pain, worries about how I was going to pay for this surgery, I don't have insurance and our public health system is not an option. I also do not have any sick leave due to me due to the stupid system our company has adopted, so have had to try and save enough to cover my expenses while off work! Eventually the pain became my overriding concern, I went to see my OS the beginning of July and could get a slot on the 20th. So far my recovery has been far easier than the first. Very little pain, just a lot of stiffness in the operated leg, and I have also so far not had the extreme drowsiness I had the first time. I came home from hospital a day earlier, I managed to go downstairs and then later back up again yesterday using crutches. Last time it was almost 4 weeks post op before I could do that on my own! The money worries are still here, but I feel much more able to cope with them now that I am no longer dealing with the terrible pain. I am sure that is what leaves you feeling so vulnerable and depressed and that there is no way out. I hope you soon get your date for your next surgery, and you will soon be on your way to recovery.

Note...
If I'm a pe CawN...you have to be Caw-shew.
Today is a gonna be a good day.

I've been thinking about you @MyAussieGirl, and I realized you said you were not sleeping well lately so that may very well be the reason you are feeling more blue or at least be contributing to it. I think we all feel a bit down when we get overtired even when there is no surgery anywhere in the past or future. Hopefully now that your tummy issues seem to be resolving, you will be able to sleep better and then things will look better.

How lucky you are to have a hubby that made you a blueberry pie! Yum!! How is your vegetable garden doing? Have you been able to pick anything yet? We've had a lot of lettuce and one small cucumber so far. If you don't have lettuce, you should pick up a pack of the Burpee Gourmet Lettuce. It is leaf lettuce and comes up pretty quickly. You just pick the leaves and then more come and it is like the lettuce in the spring mix packages you get at the supermarket except that it is so much fresher. It's not too late to plant some.

Hi @MyAussieGirl
Hope today is a good day for you!
Don't hate putting your hair in a ponytail! Maybe hubby likes how you look with your hair pulled up.
Sure helps in the heat, I can attest to that. Those are the days one considers chopping it off.

Hope the tummy continues to feel better and that you are able to get your house in the order you'd like it to be. I'm slowly but surely working on that now UGH! Trying to regain the control I lost around here for the last month lol! Hubby was a great nurse but doesn't know what a vacuum looks like. Guess I can't complain as I don't know how I would have done it in the early days without him. Just like you.....with the SAINT! Can't help it, he's always going to be the SAINT to me, haha!

Hope you have a splendidly magnificent weekend!!!
