TKR Arrangrls RKR Journey

I'm so sorry Arrangrl... it's so hard to lose our furry family members. Take care of yourself and give yourself time to grieve.

Oh Arrangrl, I am so sorry! I know every pet we lose takes a piece of us with them. Sending you a hug and total understanding.

So very sorry, that’s so hard. Prayers for comfort!

So sorry to hear about your beloved Cosmos. Sending my love to you…

Yes it has been a very difficult few days but I know he had the best of life with me and my family and he knew he was a much loved boy xx

Hello everyone

I decided to go out to Marks and Spencer’s with my daughter for a coffee and change of scenery today . I’m glad I did , it felt good to be in the fresh air . The oddest thing happened though. I used my sticks and got a trolly as I thought that would be easy… mistake . I was limping badly with it. I wonder why that was???

I’m now on Day 19 post op. I’m finding the stairs much easier and managing to do my PT X3 daily without it hurting . It’s recommended to go this x4 a day but to work towards it gradually . My knee slides are the most difficult and not sure I will able to touch my heels on my bottom.

I’m also out walking with sticks for 10 mins each day- a nice easy pace. Does that sound about right at this juncture?

Sleeping is still a challenge. It is what it is and won’t be forever . Does the real stiffness on getting out of bed lessen with time .

Hope everyone is well

Jan x

Well, my first knee was done end of January and it is still stiff in the morning!
As for sliding my heels to my bottom, I doubt I will EVER be able to do that, but it’s not important to me. As long as I can get around without pain, walk, bend, drive, do some gardening, that’s all I ask.

Yes Pat

I would take all of your things..:) So much overload about bending knee etc, you get caught up in it all . I guess we have to trust our health professionals that they do know what they are talking about but a lot of info on here contradicts ..

How is your boy doing tonight

Evening

Walked outdoors for 15 minutes today, being conscious of my step etc . It felt good -.but long enough

Jan, my kitty is a girl, Frankie. Don’t know how or why she is holding on - she has almost no muscle/flesh on her and is truly a “bag of bones”. She is still eating but having lots of accidents outside the pan. Loving her every day I have her. Thanks for asking.

Jan you are doing great with the walks, I started out at 10 mins today, I am not sure how or when to increase it my time from that point. maybe add a minute every 3 days?

Oh Arrangrl, now you have a broken heart to heal too.
Thoughts are with you, I know exactly what a nightmare you’re going through.

Aww bless her Pat xx
