Thanks @Readysetgo - I really haven't started a pre-op thread; Most likely I'll start a post-op. @torment and I have the same OS, so I've read his thread a couple of times to see how the 'count down' works. He did a great job describing everything. I've been to hip class, Pre-Admission testing, talked to the preadmission nurse last week, and just today, talked to the nurse on the floor where I'll go post-op (she asked me if I was still planning to go home tomorrow! - My answer: "If they'll let me"). Dr. Stephen Kim, my OS generally attempts to send patients home the same day of surgery if possible, which I know is so different that a lot of hippies on Bonesmart. One of my community neighbors had anterior hip surgery back in December, and she was at the hospital for four days (including surgery day.) I'm packing as if I might spend a night or two. ... I don't have doubts about getting a new hip, just doubts about whether the OS knows all of my condition (dysplasia) and that the process will be done right.
I guess that's how I stress out! Two more showers, and off I go! I'm looking forward to the lack of hip joint pain!

Thank you!
