@cpd599
Thank you. Some times are trying. But when you have a good day, you realize that their is light at the end of the tunnel. PT at first can be imitating but once you get started, your body begins to respond favorably. I suffered for several years with OA and made the decision to undergo BTKR. I just could not take the pain from OA.

I am scheduled for RTKR on July 9th. Had the first MRI on it 5 years ago. Have gotten by very well with cortisone shots and a couple of rounds of synvisc. But it just hurts all the time now. My surgeon is excellent, my sister is coming to help me, and my husband is very supportive. We have two grown children living with us and they are wonderful and willing to do whatever they can. My sister had her knee replaced about ten years ago and was back at work in two and a half weeks! I would like to make it back by August 3rd, after I see my surgeon for my post-op appointment that morning. My boss is fixing up a small office where I can prop my knee up and work on the computer. I told him I can make no promises. I am the administrator of a home health agency, so have loads of medical opinions coming my way. I plan to put my recovery first, and be realistic. Looking forward to comparing notes with all of you.

I have brought forward this month's list so that you can easily see who your surgical buddies are.

Welcome to our latest and all July Sparklers!

@Slainte, You are a couple weeks before me ! Good luck and keep me informed. I hope I can keep up with all the "Sparklers". I should have plenty of time on my hands.

@Majic, Yes we will. I see this is not your first rodeo ! I'm kinda freakin out now that I have an actual date, but I'm all in at this point. I'm going to the dentist today, so I shouldn't have to deal with that for a while. Riding my bicycle every chance I get. Gonna try to get a couple more rounds of golf in. Just kinda sorry I'm losing most of the summer, that's what we live for here in the Northeast.

Are you happy, sad, mixed? I would be mostly sad, but a bit angry, too. I'm ready to get it done, and would hate to think of any delays. Hope you are taking it well.

Hi, Sparklers. I just followed all of you . . . so we can meet on "the other side" (in recovery threads). My surgery is July 1, along with @LHop so we are the vanguard of the sparklers . . . not my childhood dream come true (yikes!) but that is okay. We can help each other out with encouragement and companionship. Follow the other Sparklers, compadres. :idea:

Great idea; now how does one "follow" another person on the forum? Would like to keep up with our July family. :what:

@Rob 68, click on the member's user name. When the member's avatar box pops up, click on Profile Page. When the profile page comes up, look in the upper right hand corner. You will see the word "follow". Click on it, and you will be following that person. I believe you get alerts whenever they post.

@cpd599, thanks for the good wishes--and definitely, will report back. also will be looking out for you on your day.
@Rob 68, you're just a few days behind @LHop and me . . . don't forget to let us know how you are.

Go, Sparklers . . . . it is almost July. Maybe we should have a reunion next July. We should all be dancing by then.

We'll be dancing beneath the diamond sky, with one hand waving free, silhouetted by the sea, circled by the circus sands, while we forget about today until tomorrow.:cheers:

Bilateral on July 15th. I expect / plan / hope to go to a rehab facility for 1-2 weeks post-op.

Count me in. I will have bilateral knee replacement on July 7. I am praying that all our surgeries go well and we have successful recoveries.

Wow, just 7 days away for boditty and me, while Jbrook and LHop blaze the trail for us on July 1. (I think Pam Colorado's date got moved from the 6th.) I recall Beccab posting a while back she was scheduled for July 2, so she joins the July Pioneers' Club. Buena suerte to you all. Boditty, Cowgal (July 7), and I will join you soon. The game's afoot, or in our cases, aknee. :thumb:
