Bilateral TKR jbrooklyn recovery: short-term loss for long-term gain.

That's not fair, Jbrook. Glad to hear you are hanging in there, and hope these new problems will go away with time and perseverance. My knee is still stiff but fine otherwise. Back has been giving me more problems than the knee, but that's unrelated to the new knee. Please know that we are all...

TKR Braunzie's Journey on "The Other Side"?

Great report, Sister Braunzie. Very glad to hear you are doing so well and living a full life again. Seems like a long time ago when we were all apprehensive and scared of the unknown. Look at us now! Keep up the good living. Sent from my iPhone using BoneSmart Forum

    TKR Rob's Knew Knee

Rafa turned 1 Wednesday and I forgot to post anything. My bad. Played 3 hours of tennis Tuesday morning, then about 30 minutes on the stationary bike Wednesday, then another 2 hours of tennis Thursday night. Started a new PT regimen for my back, which seems to be helping. May still need some...

TKR Braunzie's Journey on "The Other Side"?

3 weeks and 2 days away from Rafa's first birthday, and pretty much want to second sister Braunzie's comments above. Keep running into people on the tennis courts who had knew knees put in by my doc, and we all sing his praises for allowing us to play the game we love so much. Actually playing...

    TKR Rob's Knew Knee

Hope all the July (2015) Sizzlers are well and back into their normal lives and routines. Remember where we all were a year ago, full of trepidation and doubt, awaiting what would be a transformational experience for us all. My Rafa looks fairly normal today, still a bit stiff for my taste but...

    PKR Raffs' Recovery Thread<'

@Raffs @momweb I looked into PRP a while back (BKK - Before Knew Knee), and back then it was still considered experimental treatment, hence no insurance coverage. I had a friend who was bone-on-bone, and she took the treatment. She told me it was not very pleasant, but she felt it worked well...

TKR Braunzie's Journey on "The Other Side"?

I do feel guilty for not posting or visiting more often, but I have nothing new to report, except gradual improvement. Mea culpa. I do like to read how fellow Sparklers are doing, I just don't post much anymore. Should be more attentive. Will try to be in the future.

    TKR Rob's Knew Knee

Got my latest EKG today, and it looks pretty good. And Rafa is getting close to looking like a real knee again. Hope all is well with all my Bonesmart friends.

TKR Braunzie's Journey on "The Other Side"?

So proud of you. My doc skipped the 6-month checkup; went straight to a year. Knee is still on the stiff side, but not so much that Ican't do what I want. Amazing how far we've come, isn't it? I say Yea Us!

    TKR Rob's Knew Knee

Bummer, New. You should come to Memphis; would be more than happy to introduce you to my Doc. But I'm sure you chose your next OS carefully. We will all be with you for your next procedure, which is what people who have not experienced what we have. Hope your other knee holds out. Good luck.

TKR Braunzie's Journey on "The Other Side"?

Answered this in more depth on my thread, Braunzie, but wanted to wish the best 2016 possible for you and all our July Sparklers sisters and brothers. I have learned the more active I am, the less stiff my knee is. And vice versa. Sometimes have to make myself get up just to move a little. Rafa...

    TKR Rob's Knew Knee

@Braunzie - Hey, Sister. Good to hear from you. Funny how time seems to slowly drift us apart, isn't it? But that's the major reason many of us went through this ordeal - to resume our normal lives without that danged bad old knee getting in the way. We are lucky in a sence that modern...

    TKR Rob's Knew Knee

Rafa celebrates his 6-month birthday today, so thought we would drop by and thank all our Bonesmart family for their great comments, their encouragement, and for their progress in this mutual journey. Especially proud of the July Sparklers, who hung together and shared good and bad moments, all...
