    TKR Recovery, Here I Come!

Went to PT Today. Not a good thing. I got this aggressive woman who I had, on a previous visit, heard telling a man they hated to make men cry, but that would happen if they had to keep working on his ROM. So she starts in telling me that the last appointment was disappointing and that the guy...

    TKR Recovery, Here I Come!

In defense of coyotes, Ferguson was most likely not attacked. He is a small, old lab that has moments of grandeur where he wants to take on coyotes, livestock and skateboards. We have been able to work pretty successfully on his issues with livestock and skateboards. Coyotes are much less...

TKR liam2015: 1 Year Anniversary, Life Goes On!

liam2015 - my flexion and extension are not too good either. The extension tends to feel better than the flexion. There is not a ton of swelling, but things just feel very stiff when I walk or bend.

Good job on getting Lefty to cooperate. Let's hope he keeps it up.

    TKR Recovery, Here I Come!

Two steps forward, one step back. I was doing well, was feeling better and felt that the knee was beginning to loosen up. Then, things got interesting. The dog got up at about 3 AM and wanted out. We are surrounded by pastures and "going out" for him means going potty and then getting distracted...

    TKR One year kneeversary

I wear Birkenstocks and Haflingers. My feet are problem feet - a minor version of club feet with high arches and hammer toes. Those really are the only two shoes I have found that work. Because of the hammer toes it is hard to find enclosed toe shoes that work. The closed Birks are not tall...

    TKR Edema at 10 weeks?

eeskiracer - I may be saying things you have already thought of, but does your company have the program that allows others to share their medical leave with you? I hope things get better sooner rather than later.

Wow! Doing stairs the old way, I am impressed. I have been able to place my operated leg on the next step going up, but know it is not ready to lift me.

    TKR Recovery, Here I Come!

I almost wonder if I am not withdrawing a little today. I started 1/2 doses yesterday morning and, while the pain is a bit worse, there is not much. I am tired though and a bit wonky.

    TKR Recovery, Here I Come!

Really, the only thing I am disappointed with is my lack of flexion. I am almost to 0 on extension, but the flexion just does not want to go to 90. I am trying to barely push it, no pain, not even discomfort. I have maybe gained an inch in the past week - and that is a maybe since I haven't been...

    TKR Recovery, Here I Come!

Day 21 Things continue to improve. Now, I am getting restless, which is a good sign. I sat in the driver's side of the car today, experimentally working the gas and brake. It felt pretty good, but I realize sitting in the car in the garage is way different from actually driving. I was also on...

    TKR VW's new joint venture

I like the short walks as well. It just feels so good to be outside. VW54 - Your ROM is better than mine and we had the same surgery date. Congrats on that. My stitches just came out as well and when I showered this AM, Imavoided getting the knee wet because some of the scabs were coming off...

Pheebs52 - Somgood to see you are doing well. The walk in the park sounds wonderful. Congrats on the "loosening."
