Aww @EalingGran I wish you could have gone with me, too. Hope that knee is behaving and feeling better from the infection. Are you still in hospital or just there for testing?
Sending you prayers and good vibes :prayer: :loveshwr::loveshwr::prayer:

Awwww Tootsie! She’s so cute! She actually reminds me of a soft little baby goat, and I mean that in the best possible way they are so adorable!

Here are Skyy and Ladybug…

Tootie is precious. How good of you to adopt a rescue, especially a senior dog. They find it so hard to find a forever home. Their unconditional love gives us such warmth.

I've rescued cats for years. During the recovery from my TKR, I had 13 kitties. Since then, all have died but one. I have 4 new rescues now, plus the old one. She's 17 and has awful arthritis. I feel for her. Talking about not needing formal PT, try taking care of 13 cats after a TKR! That is definitely natural PT! My roommate helped me when she wasn't working, but all the other times, it was on me. They inspired me to get well and recover.

Walking your dog is great therapy. Not only are you helping yourself, but you are also helping your sweet dog!

Took the furry beastlet
We had a cat beastlet. She was very petite but my daughter’s yellow lab was terrified of her, and for good reason. She bullied that poor dog when she wasn’t choosing to keep her distance, which she did, more than she didn’t.

Still in unfortunately as pulse rate still high and I have at least a couple of days more of the new IV antibiotics.
At least I have a nice side room on a specialist infections unit because everyone is very frightened of Strep A after outbreaks of scarlet fever and a death in a local school. I don't want to go home until I am safe as we have my 19 month old grandson with us. My husband is visiting but isolating from the baby and his parents.

@JusticeRider they are adorbs! The big and little. What breeds? Great Pyrannese and Jack Russell? hard to tell from rear view LOL
Is Skyy named for the island in Scotland?
So many questions :heehee:
Just call me Nosy Nosehole.

@Jockette. Kitty beastlet LOL going after a Lab!

@sistersinhim
We adopted her when she was younger. Vet estimated 4-6 yrs. She's an old girl now (like me) but loves to go for walks, eats well, and occasional zoomies. She was so malnourished and dirty. Knew I had to have her! She hates other dogs...will try to attack a pit bull and isn't fond of most people.
Here's a pic of her when we rescued her. 4 lbs of terrified, abused dog.

Blessings to you for adopting that adorable furbaby! They are so much of our lives!

If any of your would like to add and/or read about our pets. You can go to the Social Room and read or post all about them. Social Room-Pets

@sistersinhim a whole thread about fur kids?? I’m canceling all my appointments for the day! :heehee: Talk about feel good reading.

I hope it’s ok if I reply here and then I promise I’ll leave the critter talk to the Social Room!

That is an amazing view- where is it?
This is on top of Navaho Peak in the Cascades. I hope to get up there again when my knee is strong and I am fit again!
The big and little. What breeds? Great Pyrannese and Jack Russell?
Yep, Great Pyrenees and Toy Fox Terrier. Livestock guardian and ratter! And two first rate therapy dogs.

Sure, it's OK as long as we get back on track about our knees! A little off-topic is fun and I think it does us good to not concentrate only on knees, but we do have to get back on the topic. I was off-topic right there with you but realized it would be easy to get lots of pet comments from others and I needed to let people know about the Social Room. You would not realize how many people don't even know it's there! I didn't for the longest time until someone steered me there.

Ok back to knees. But, furbabies are more fun

Pia is 6 weeks old today.
Update: I've really reduced the hydrocodone lately, but still need it when pain ramps up. Last refill lasted almost 2 weeks (40 pills). I have a funny feeling doc might stop refilling at 8 weeks so I'll squeeze out another refill before then just in case.
Tylenol and Advil combo help, but I use Advil sparingly. My gut doesn't like too many nsaids.

I can do more around the house, taking walks, going out on short trips for errands out among the living, etc. But, I know my limits and have yet to join ODIC.

PT appt today. Haven't been in 6 days. But, walking, moving much more this week. ROM should be perfect LOL
Another appt is schedule for Fri, but I'll prob reschedule that one.

Not driving yet, but may try soon.
Going out to an event with friends on Saturday. Woohoo! My first big fun outing.

Sounds that you are doing really well. Congratulations! Hope you enjoy your social event. It is so nice to be back with friends again.

Moving right along... you're progressing nicely, beachy.
Have a nice PT session today and a wonderful time with friends on Saturday!
@beachy

I was really swollen for PT today. Prob from too much walking yesterday at hospital with hubs.
Therapist agreed that there was increased swelling and didn't bother measuring for ROM. She said all the walking yesterday was my PT. Massage, a few easy exercises, some stretching, rock the bike pedals...couldn't go around this time. Was only there 30 min. She gets it! You can't force a swollen knee to bend or flatten. And she said my numbers were so good last week that she could tell there is progress. Nice to have a PT with common sense!
