Aspirate came back negative to all tests. Rheumy asked for extra tests on it, I don't know what, but still negative. I wish they would put a drain in as well. I struggled with the bend after the original TKR. Physio gave up because too much pain. Hydrotherapy gave up again because of the pain. I used to have hot baths at home and try and bend and straighten it under the water. I could bend it when I got out of the water but would loose the bend soon afterwards. I got up to 90 degrees doing this but it wasn't sustainable. After the revision/synovectomy the bend got easier but is not good now. I have one leg longer than the other, good leg shorter. After getting a heel lift last autumn my extension got better.
I've been thinking about asking for Low Dose Naltrexone for inflammation. I used a sister drug Nalaxone with Oxycodine (Targinact) for pain relief and stopped about 4 months ago. It didn't work for pain relief. After I stopped it I noticed that the inflammation increased. I can't take NSAIDS. I struggle with pain meds. Morphine does not work. I can't take Oxycodine by itself. Tramadol helps my other pain but not knee pain. I can only tolerate IV paracetamol not oral or rectal. I've tried patches and TENS machine.
The GP's secretary is on with the referal, I just have to wait...
