Tashia, hon.....it's hard to figure things out and stay on top of everything when you are hurting and worried. We need to get that behind you before you worry about any other things in your life. You say you went to the dentist today.....what was the recommendation? You may want to go ahead and get the root canal if that's what he (or she) thinks is best. Root canals used to be a huge ordeal, but new methods make it much more comfortable these days. There is a special dentist that does them and you are completely numb for the procedure. It doesn't hurt and there is only minimal pain afterward usually, since the nerve that might hurt is gone. The procedure can be expensive, though. You need to look into your insurance to see what, if anything is covered. Some doctors make allowances for patients on Medicare as well, so ask about any discounts you could get. Once the tooth has the root removed, it is packed with an antiseptic temporary filling. You wait about 6 weeks for it to calm down and then a crown is placed on your tooth. That also can be a bit expensive, so you should discuss all this with your dentist to see what is really needed.
Try not to worry about infection. While it is something to be aware of, just because you have dental problems does NOT mean you will get an infection in your implants. It's not a one-to-one cause-and-effect relationship. The possibility of problems with your hip are small and the important thing is to take care of any problems as quickly as possible, which you have done. If you find yourself worrying tonight, take something to help you sleep. Some good rest will make you feel better!! And hopefully the sun will shine for you soon. (((((HUGS)))))
