Phenomenal to read the history.

Thank you to those who had the foresight to develop, invest and advance this vision!

We all know such endeavors take much commitment and effort.

THANK YOU for how Bonesmart helps us everyday and through the sleepless nights.

Very interesting thread! Thank you Josephine for sharing this information. I have learned so much from BoneSmart. My one regret is not finding it BEFORE I had surgery! <3

I stumbled upon this site about 5 months before my first knee surgery! The people that have come and gone since that time have lifted my spirits, prayed when infection set in, urged me to get to the doctor when I was too stubborn to admit I needed to and so forth. This website is the ONLY website for replacements that I know I can find someone who is willing to listen. Other websites want to know why I didn't sue and so forth. Don't need negativity! Just like being positive!:)

Ain't that the truth, Sonja. Sometimes money isn't everything and it DEFINITELY doesn't buy you happiness. But I can say from my personal experience that a positive attitude and working to help others does make a person feel great.

@Josephine I just found the history of BoneSmart and I too thought it was yours! I wish I had found you before my surgery but when I did find you you have guided and encouraged me when I was having a problem. Keep up the good work! Oh and let me not forget to mention all the people who also took me under their wing and gave me suggestions, support and laughs! Everyone is so kind on this site.

What a fascinating story! There are no words to express how grateful I am to have found this website. It's impossible to imagine going into my LTKR without the support of everyone in this forum. When I look at the minimal amount of information given pre-op by my OS and hospital (no fault intended), I would be lost and so ill prepared for not only the surgery but, more importantly, the recovery. Thank you so very much Josephine, forum advisors and moderators and fellow BoneSmarties. I feel I belong to the best fraternal organization in the world!

I have to agree. Finding Bonesmart was the best thing that happened to me with my TKR ups and downs. Thanks to all of you who dreamed it into being and to all those who come through and read the stories and offer their encouragements. I tell as many as I can about Bonesmart. My doctors tell me they can't share it with their patients for fear that it would be construed as an endorsement and could lead to lawsuits. So, all of you bonesmart friends - I hope you will help spread the word and add to the history. I think any Bonesmart friend will agree - anyone facing TKR or THR would benefit.

@Josephine - a fascinating interesting history which provides such credibility to all you and your staff do. Since it looks like no one has been here or at least commented maybe you could put a link to the history after your statement re to being a nurse and your years of experience. You should be proud of all you have done in your years as a nurse:wow: and let everyone know :yes!:

Thank you for your kind comments. I really should update it soon because it will be gravely out of date.

We are actually trying to reduce the amount of content we have in our signatures. If it's too much, it's just confusing for new members.

Agree with all the above comments. I was so glad to find bonesmart after my recent hip replacement. I only wish I had found it BEFORE so that I would have had a better knowledge of what to expect, and also more realistic expectations for recovery. @Josephine you are a wealth of knowledge and an inspiration to many.

I have been a member 3 years thru 2 hips and a knee replacement. I remember how terrified I was when I found I needed my hip done. BS was the guiding light like a beacon in a storm, helping me thru the anxiety before and the questions during recovery. I know my experiences would not have been as positive had it not been for the knowledge and kindness of everyone here. @Josephine Thanks for the history and congratulations for all things upcoming. BS has truly been a blessing to me and I am sure many others!

Donna, I couldn't agree with you more! Even though I had, had 10 knee surgeries before my knee replacement, I was terrified of having one. I found Bonesmart 6 months before my tkr and what a blessing it was! I rehabbed the Bonesmart way all through my previous surgeries, so I knew their way worked. It was just wonderful to have so many people that had been through what I was going through and knowing that my aches and pains and swelling and stiffness were all normal! This place is a God-send!

WOW! I stand in awe of you, Josephine. I get that you are not on here anymore but I am honored to be standing in the virtual presence of such an indomitable spirit. I am just totally blown away by the depth and breadth and scope of knowledge that has been afforded me, a mere mortal, on this world class forum.

That you were there, at the beginning, and helped spread the knowledge as well is incredible! One of my ebooks I carried with me to read while on the road was about surgery in the late 1800s/early 1900. When one watches a talented gymnast or professional skater perform a complicated routine with such perfection and grace you don't see the years of struggle it took to get there. I often wondered how the of joint replacement was conceived and and what those first baby steps were like.

I joined a great dane forum years ago in order to touch base with other owners. Then a bunch of us decided it was too restrictive and decided to check out this 'Facebook' thing we had heard about. No restrictions and lots of fun....nothing like what it has become now which is a place I don't really like anymore. As I am learning to navigate BoneSmart it seems to go on and on...and on and on! All these great minds joined together to pass on the good word! What a giant undertaking this has been and I want to say thank you.

I want to thank you, Josephine. Thank you to all the Moderators, Admins and the whole Staff. I feel lucky to have found BoneSmart and am also excited about how much more I am going to learn here.
