I have had the problem for some time. But, guess in the last week, it has been okay. Hope that helps a bit.

One thought I have is that these users may have some bad data in their browser caches that is causing your code to die when it is returned. I would suggest having a few such users try clearing their cache and seeing if the issue persists"
 
Okay, Richard, I am not much of a houskeeper, but if you will tell me how to "clean my cache" on my iMac, I will have at it. I am so frustrated. If I double click, I have not problem--but, so often, I singel click and then I have to go back.

It is amazing to me how frustrating a one second problem can be! Kelly
 
That's the first thing I did when it started happening, but it didn't help. Like Kelly, I am very frustrated. Sometimes it doesn't happen much and then other times it takes THREE times to get to where I want to go. I am tired of seeing the "white page."

The error has to be on the server end, it never happened before we changed to the Xenforo software. Please don't stop looking into it, it really needs to be fixed and I am sure that there are more members out there having the same issue, they just don't report it.

@ JC - We are still looking into it however from logs it shows only a few people ( i believe under 5 ips from the several thousand different ips every day which view) are having this issue, which means its not a software or server issue but a issue thats

Between Your computer and router
Between Your router and Isp
Between Your Isp and the Bonesmart datacentre etc

Or any combination of the above, the day before we moved forum software we moved to a new datacenter so it could be a routing issue between your isp and the server

could you ping the forum address and let me know the results?
 
Rich I am not sure you want to hear this but I did clear my cache when we first started seeing this problem. I think is was Jo who suggested this. Didn't help I am afraid. I am using Firefox.
 
Rich, I'm not sure how the number of "five" people affected has been determined, but we had eleven people reporting the problem in this thread. I can't prove it, but I would bet there are more out there who just click again and don't think to report it as a problem. I clear my cache regularly and that hasn't made any difference. I use both AOL and (when it is acting up) Firefox.
 
the number of ips who get the error code of "500" was about 5 people, some may be getting it for other reasons, outdated browsers, outdated computers etc

example on my 6 year old pc and my 3 year old all xenforo sites work fine

however its not as good on my 10 year old xp machine as the computer is so slow
 
old xp machine is probably my problem---well, I've wanted a new computer so now I have a reason:whistle:
 
Rich, I have an one year old iMac. I use Safari or sometimes Firefox. primarily Firefox. We have had some router issues--we really need an new router, but my husband is old school and hates to replace anything. I did clear the cache this am, thanks for the link.Kelly

Whew!!! Rich!!! I'm so glad we have YOU to interpret all that pinging stuff. I know just enough about pinging a site to be dangerous.

All I know is from my management days as a director of a computer softward design division for the Marine Corps. See...I didn't have to be computer smart to run the office.....just had to manage so that the staff had what they needed to do their thing. But, I learned so much from all my staff!!! Pinging is done to check servers in a network to determine whether the connections are all working. When the ping is done, there is a trail created of the traffic through the network and people that REALLY know what they're doing like Rich can figure out where there may be problems with the signal. Well, that's it for what I know!!! (And hopefully I said it right!)
 
can others who are having issues also ping? so i can see what is causing the issue
