The link to the article is very helpful. My problem spot happens to be on the outer side of the knee. The surgeon looking at the X-Ray didn't find anything wrong and was happy with his work. So am I actually, other than the pain and the bump. The pain/ bump started some time ago and I kept waiting for it to go away. It didn't happen and I finally asked this helpful forum. Now, it finally started to subside somewhat. Maybe because I haven't done as much walking lately.
So, I guess I had overdone it a little. I just have to see how it continues. I was just wondering if anybody else has experienced the same thing.

Thanks for pinpointing the location of your pain, you may have ITB (ilio-tibial band) issues and treatments .
ITB issues after TKR's is not uncommon, try some of the gentle stretches in the article, a PT can also help.

Thank you so much for your advice and the link to “ilio-fibial band”, Pumpkin.
Surgeon mentioned something about a band when looking at the x-rays but did not explain. Now it makes sense. I'm doing some stretching and massage and believe that it has gotten better already.
