THR Snickers has a brand new hip!!<

Gotta give me an update every couple days please just so I know you're okay. I am doing much better not perfect but well:spin:

Sorry....busy weekend. I'm doing really great. Went to my sons house 5 hours away for the weekend. Went out shopping at Nebraska Furniture Mart in Kansas City....lots and lots of walking, then out to dinner with my son and daughter in law and our other grandbaby (he is only 3 months old) and had a fantastic meal and a few drinks. Then 5 hours back in the truck home today. I have to admit I'm a little sore but not too bad. Getting ready to try 6 miles on the bike and up my walk to 1 mile tomorrow. Thanks for thinking about me. I saw where you were having a few problems, I hope you get those worked out and your recovery continues to progress. Hugs to you......

Cool @snickers it sounds like a great weekend I don't blame you for not being on here but am glad you came on. Sounds like you are doing well. I am much better in all ways not perfect but I am OK. Hugs and you are rocking it kiddo. I am outta here in just minutes

I have a strange question.....I'm 4 weeks post op today and I'm starting to get these sharp stick feelings in my leg, not near my incision, but like the side of my thigh and the back. Almost feels like a sticker poking me. Doesn't do it all the time, just comes and goes. Anybody else have this or know what it is?

Pretty sure nerves coming back to life, RE-routing, or whatever the heck it does. The surgeon says impossible to avoid all nerves when inserting those new tie rods and ball joints.
Mine got more prominent as numbness dissipated and as I became more active. Super annoying for me at times as recovery progressed. About the time I decided I might ask for some kind of nerve medication...at 4 months out or so, it started easing...and except for a lone errant zinger...quit.
At least that's my story....

Thanks....figured it wasn't anything serious, but dang annoying!

Yep, catches you out if nowhere. Can be rather intense but then ...swoooop...gone.
I rubbed and rubbed, not sure that helped.
I looked into gabapentin (?) As I thought it might be chronic...but can't remember when last time I felt...several weeks and less "pokey"
Good news, thought numbness might be more permanent and there's only a few spots that might feel half asleep.

Yes I've had it too so many things going back to normal. For me it's like a fast sting,... growls

Yeppers @snickers it's all the muscles, tendons nerves etc trying to get back to normal it um lasts a while ...for me it's annoying as I am allergic to bees and wasps so I look down ...then it hits me...junk healing

Hip us talking to me tonight.....when I get up and walk it feels fine. When I sit down it kinda throbs then quits then throbs then quits....kinda strange.

No like a throb in the front toward the groin. Not all the time...it comes then quits.

I think that may be normal again muscle and junk but in case ask Josphine just tag her. You may need to rest more or ice it. Me, soon ...shower

Well I woke up this morning and it felt really tight...went down and rode the bike for 15 minutes and it loosened up and felt great. Sat down and ate lunch and watched a show or two and it hurt on that place but when I stood and leaned back it stretched it out....probably right just a muscle or tendon.

I know a few people mention this and I get a pain in my rump too old fixed hip and new. Mojo333 GrannyC a number of other people have mentioned this if it's the same and getting off like walking feels better. Me too....still I think you're due to see someone at your OS office they can tell you. I bet groin mucles hook with others

I DO know I have odd pains crop up after much time and face it we are new to this this hip. When my butt aches odd as it sounds I ice my area. @snickers even my old from April hip side hurts now and then just not as bad as pre-op and this too will go

I will ask when I see my OS...not scheduled for two more weeks. If it doesn't get better or gets worse I will call and ask. Thanks!
