THR Severe pain after 15 months<

I had a reasonable sleep, until Hubby turns on the TV at 4 am. I woke in pain, aching and felt nauseated. I could hardly get out of bed, but got up to fetch my TENS machine, stuck on the pads and it was 3 hours before I could get up. I decided to attend an Acupuncturist that I had been for a back injury. He is trying to reset the pain pathways. I'm pretty sore now, as I haven't had my long acting meds today, just the short acting ones. There will not be magic straight away. It can't hurt anything anyway.
Thank you for the cute puppy.

Aw you're most welcome I am limited in what I can do to help thus cute puppy.

I am so sorry on the be pain. What's with husbands I'm perplexed on why he turned the TV on at that hour in the AM ..

Good idea on TENS machine I have one but never used it maybe next hip.

Good luck with the Acupuncture let us know please :froggies:

MAG, my Husband used to be a dairy farmer and that is his wake up time, but I think I was only in a light sleep anyway, due to the aching. My Husband only thinks of himself a lot of the time. The Acupuncturist may take some time to assist, but it can't hurt. He is fine with me using my TENS machine for relief. I am just resting before the busy dinner time cooking.

Hi, I think many husbands are like that ...My husband grew up on a dairy farm use to milk cows BEFORE school. I grew up in the Suburbs above Detroit a summer home never had to work until I left collage. My point ...yes there is one lol.....My husband can drop into a deep sleep while I dance on the bed all around him. He can open. 1 eye and I wake.

Enjoy dinner it's 130 AM here I'm soon outta here

I am so sorry to hear you are still suffering after your surgery. I know if you follow the advice of those on here who are more knowledgeable than me, like Josephine, you will get the right answers. Not long ago there was another girl on here with what sounded to me like a very similar problem. Her dr said all was well but she hurt a lot. Josephine could see the problem and recommended a revision specialist. Long story short - the girl finally got her answers from a new dr who could see the problem and was able to get it fixed. I hope you have the same experience. Hang in there!

Hi @Dickie 1

I just read your thread and while I have no answers or advice my heart goes out to you in your pain.
In addition, not getting any answers has to be frustrating.
I hope this is resolved soon.....I'll pray to that end.
A peaceful day to you!

Thank you, Layla. I appreciate the support. The pain has improved slightly since some acupuncture yesterday.
I will see how t goes today.

Thank you GrannyC, I am sure help is at hand. BTW, the acupuncture seems to have helped a little bit with pain.
I am going for a CT scan next Wednesday. This is what the surgeon ordered. I was happy enough to follow through. Sending good wishes to everyone.

I woke up this morning in terrible pain, not a good day at all. Josephene thinks the x-ray looks okay , not showing any loosening of the stem, which is what the surgeon has said. I just wish it could be sorted. The pain is worse now than before the surgery with no end in sight. Something has not been right from the start. I was in so much post-op pain and it hasn't got a lot better. This is no life, only an existence.

@Dickie 1
I bet you wish that. I can understand. It's hard when you go and do all you can and see everyone and feel like you're going nowhere.

I bet you will find out what's up but sadly it sounds like more time. I am so sorry honey. I am still praying. I am close to 2 AM where I live. I need to get outta here. I am very tired know I send you hugs and :prayer:

Hi Dickie,
The only advise I can give is to either tape your meeting with the docs or make sure you have a witness with a good memory! It is surprising how eager they are to help when there is a witness.
All I can say is WOW, you are holding the fort down in spite of the surgery. You are a strong person which leads me to believe there is something wrong with the implant. My non-medical opinion. lol

Hang on. There is something wrong and they have to find and fix it. So so sorry you feel worse after add it should have given you tremendous relief.
We are praying for you

I have a suspicion that it is nerve pain. This pain pattern is indicative of it so far as I can determine.

I have to ask
If it is nerve pain what can, should be done for relief?
Hang in there!
