..... borrowing from you....Wow, I was getting tired at the test run. All normal stuff, but not normal for us right now, not even when icing in between. I am pleased that you rescheduled your PT and didn't cancel completely. I am sad for you about the wedding, but you have realized that the travel etc. will be OTT. You have to take this time to look after you and be sensible. I know you are fed to the teeth with it all and are thinking, well I've done all that...and it is still taking forever. You've had so much on your plate with your unwell Mum coming to visit and caring for her (don't know how you did it...super human you are!), on top of your already complicated recovery.
Three summers ago we had a family holiday planned, all five of us, to head back to Bda for my hubby's niece's wedding. She was extra special to me, as she used to board her horse with us, and we are particularly fond of her. What I thought was going to be my forever competition horse tore a ligament in his leg a week before the wedding, and needed serious care and attention. I couldn't find anyone who could handle him or the situation, as I hadn't been here long enough. The vet just looked at me when I was crying about our niece's wedding, and the horse's accident, and said, "You know what you have to do". Non-horse people didn't understand it, and you might feel that others don't understand your hippy situation (I would imagine most would...but there are always those who have to make remarks), but you have to look after YOU! There are ways you can make it up at a different time. I was able to do that. You will look back and realize it was a really sucky time, but you had to insist on self care. I spent ten days on my own, crying daily, while my family was in Bermuda for ten days, seemingly having a blast. They FT me from the wedding etc but it still was the pits Thankfully our niece understood what I was dealing with, but most others did not.
Even today, I got a comment by phone, from someone who needs to have his knees done and is grumpy due to his pain, about where I was with my hip recovery. He said something along the lines that "hips are easier than knees and shouldn't you be doing such and such", and I said probably yes on the knees from what I understood, but that hips recovery is still three months for early days, six months to a year for long term recovery. I'm sure his wife, who has been begging him to get his knees sorted, wasn't happy with me about the hip time, and knees being trickier reminder...but I was so annoyed that he minimized what I was going through at almost four weeks (tomorrow). Same mind set as, "well so and so was running a marathon two weeks after THEIR surgery", yeah right

Anyway, I digress as usual. My heart goes out to you with the test-run that kinda smacked back at you, the decisions you have to make and the continued ketchup pace of healing. Hoping the physio tomorrow will be helpful to you and will be supportive.
Thinking of you and sending a cyber hug

for you.....
