Do they have your legs strapped to a wedge? They did me and it was torture. It will be hard to sleep, they won't leave you alone all night. I opted for the morphine to stand those nights in the hospital. Our thoughts are with you, best wishes to you and yours tonight...

You are doing fantastic! Love the pictures...oh yes we remember the emotions behind those so well. You are young and look to be in great shape. You'll be striding about in no time. I hated that wedge! I had to come home with mine, and sleep with it. One night in the middle of the night I'd had ENOUGH. Sat up, worked my legs out, grabbed it and threw it across the room with all my might. . Being stupidly soft and light, they don't go very far very fast, or very hard, but it did my soul good to fling it. That was IT for that thing. Unfortunately my husband slept through my tantrum and show if independence, but it still felt good. Heal, and welcome to the other side!

Looking good, rbtaylor14. You will be zipping up and down that hospital corridor in no time. Oh how I disliked being strapped to that wedge, but I'm sure it is a helpful device (as least that is what I tried to convince myself LOL).

Sorry all for being quite lately. A lot of stuff going on. Well it's day 3 and man is my leg/hip sore. Haven't been able to sleep very well either. I know that it will get better.

Got dressed today feels so good.

Went for some long walks today. I can stand without holding onto the walker but I don't dare walking without it.

Are you still in the hospital? What are they keeping you for?
Are they using you for a training model?

Lol. Training model. [emoji13]. No the way they do it here is surgery on Monday and go home on Thursday.

Not having a good night my leg is in so much pain. The pain is so bad that my stomach is upset. They gave me some really good pain medication in the iv line but really didn't help at all.

Back on the PCA again. I don't think that I will go home today now. For the past 6 hours I have been in screaming pain. Finally able to breathe now that the pain is gone. Just really sucks cause I bet this sets me back now.

Hey RB, you may be walking too much too soon. Just a thought, I mean none of us know exactly what you are going through and just know you have our thoughts and support to deal with it best way you can. I know it sucks. Take the pain meds my man, don't be in pain...
