Thought I should up date on my peroneal tear/tendonitis.
My foot seemed to be getting better, but in the last few days it is getting worse, with night pain, and increasing pain during the day. The numbness on my foot has not changed since my previous posts. My knee is not reacting well to all of this, and there is returning numbness on the outside of my lower leg below the knee for about 6 inches, it had cleared up after the TKA. There is also pain along the joint line all the way around the knee, with crepitus on the outside of the knee cap with flexion/extension. My ROM is about -5 to 120, seems to be holding.
The original injury to my ankle occurred on 10/16, mild sprain, and was treated improperly by PT (since fired) on 10/21 resulting in the pain that sent me to OS.
MRI on 11/4 showed grade 2 tear on peroneus brevis, with possible tear/rupture on peroneus longus (not imaged, just a guess).
I see OS on Wednesday 12/21, any suggestions for questions, comments, and support are welcomed.
With all of this my Mother (88 yrs) fell Friday night and is in hospital, nothing broken, but her old back pain was exacerbated, she goes to rehab nursing home on the property where she lived today or tomorrow. My brother lives near her and is taking care.
