Hinged Joint Revision Complete, recovery continues

[Pumpkin]

Thanks for all the support, I will post after my appointment.

[alexthecat]

Fingers crossed for you. I hope it's something simple.

[lovetocookandsew]

Will be watching for the post. Everything I can think of is crossed hoping it's something very minor.

[Pumpkin]

This morning my knee was just as unstable as yesterday, feeling fortunate to get into the OS so quickly.
Difference today is I am working for a few hours, .

[lovetocookandsew]

So sorry. I am hoping to hear good news, as I know you are.

[turtle68]

Hope you get some answers.

[Pumpkin]

My report is not as bad as my knee feels. The OS says it's patellofemoral impingement, he wants me to do isometric extension exercise to see if it will move out of the way. The impingement moved away from my knee cap while he was examining my knee.
It the exercise does not help, then he wants to go in for an arthroscopy, and remove the impingement.
Took an x ray, I have some minor calcification in the patellar tendon, he did not think it was a problem.
In the meantime I will send my information to the second opinion OS, and set up an appointment when he has had a chance to look over my information.
Long day .

So glad to hear the news and that it seems to not be a big problem! Let us know when your next appointment is. Take a much needed rest and I'll talk to you later.

[newlybionic]

I'm glad to hear that you have an answer to your problem and now a way to take care of it. Here's hoping that the exercise works.

[RestAssured]

Chris,

I am praying that it is as "simple" as that! You have been through enough my friend!

[Celle]

Chris, I second what Sonja says.

[Pumpkin]

Did the exercise before bed, maybe 5x, took tylenol, slept for 7 hours. Was able to walk this morning. So far so good.

[lovetocookandsew]

How's your knee today?

[Pumpkin]

It is doing much better with the impingement moving out of the way. Whew!

[lovetocookandsew]

So glad to hear that!

[newlybionic]
