I'm going to be honest with you that I don't get a good feeling about this surgeon for your case. There is very little information about him on the internet, but what I see indicates he is a general orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine doctor. You need a very specialized type of surgeon....not a generalist. You want someone who can accurately diagnose and fix your problem. This is not a time for a doctor inexperienced in a complex case like yours to be trying things. Meet with him if you like, but you need to have a serious discussion with him about how many revision knees he does each year. He should be able to tell you of multiple cases similar to yours that he's resolved. I don't think you're going to get that from this surgeon. How did you come to find him?
You say that Mayo is scheduling too far out. What is "too far"? In your situation, it is much more critical to find the right revision surgeon than it is to find someone quickly. I feel like you need to rethink this and lets find someone who has the expertise to really get to the heart of your problems.
