You've been through quite a journey with all of your procedures so it's good to hear you seem to be doing well now.

It's been awhile since you've been around so I want to mention the changes to the forum membership since you were last here. in my case, the partial replacement failed within 6 months. My kneecap had carved out its own trochlear groove, so although the replacement was sound, within a short time, the new kneecap was popping out of alignment

@Healingwell It so great to have an update from you! What tests did you have, to prove this problem with the kneecap? I have a Patellofemoral, also, and I also suspect a tracking problem.

Thanks! My PT and I first noticed the kneecap moving up and hopping the groove-was very visible. Then out of the blue, my knee suddenly became swollen to the size of a small watermelon-one of the most painful things ever-had an arthroscopic surgery to check for tears etc. they never found out what caused the swelling but were able to see the groove my old kneecap had carved out and that was thrown off the new one, so to speak. I also have severely turned in hip bones, which contributed to the issue. The knees had to work really hard to move me forward.
