Revised PKR to TKR Patellofemoral PKR with Ehlers Danlos hypermobility

When this happens, it’s a good sign to slow down a bit for a day or two and let the left leg recover so it can help support you. Ice and Tylenol can help too.
Thank you! Sage advice-I am icing and elevating now—and am going to avoid walking the rather sloped street until I feel much stronger. That really aggravated my non-op, soon to be pre-op knee.

No, not really. It depends on what type of support you think you need. I would imagine that there is not too much difference among the larger name brands. I would stay away from cheap knock-off brands from China.

Happy One Month Anniversary!
I hope you're doing well and had a nice 4th.
Thanks for sharing your journey with us, Mochapup.
Enjoy the weekend!

By the way, how do I change my thread title? I think it should now say TkR instead of PKR.

Welcome back new and improved! I will notify moderators!

Hi Mochapup,
I believe the prefix - Revised PKR to TKR - was created a little over a year ago so we're able to better track this type of revision. The prefix benefits both members and staff in search of those whose Partial TKR's were revised to Total TKR's. Those facing this type of revision may search for threads of others, like yourself, to read in preparation of their surgery, so we do appreciate you sharing your recovery from this type of revision.
Have great day!

Had my second post-op for my RTKA
yesterday and it is doing well. Still a ways to go in gaining strength, but stability is good and mobility never has been the problem.;)
Am now planning to get a left TKA in September-same surgeon.:)

Hi Mochapup!
Glad you had a good post op visit and you're doing well.
If you have a date for your Left TKR, please share and we'll add it to your signature.
I hope the pain is manageable and wish you comfort as you wait.
@Mochapup

What a great update! Good for you. Strength in your muscles takes a while to rebuild. Muscles atrophy so quickly. But, you’ll get there. Go gradually. Your knee has been through a lot lately and it may take a little extra time to bounce back.

Thank you, and wonderful reminder. Especially as I feel extra sore today. Actually have a solid callous on my palm from using my crutch.

@Mochapup Two months since your right TKR. Happy an-knee-versary. Give us an update on your recovery when you have a chance.

Are you still scheduled to do leftie in September?

Happy Two Month Anniversary, Mochapup!
Sorry, Lefty, is putting a damper on your recovery. :console2:
Wishing you many moments of comfort as you wait out the next month.

Hi! I am indeed scheduled for the left TKA on September 10. Right TKA seems to be doing well. My other major issue is my feet-have a dislocated left pinky toe that has to be surgically repaired, as well as severe OA in both big toes. Lately walking feels just awful. Once I get the knees replaced, I can work on those workhorse feet.
