Beth, just thinking of you and wishing you the best. Right about now you are probably saying to yourself ...what on earth did I do?. It will be worth it all, I know, easy to say but I have spoken with allot of people and everyone has been happy with the results. It will take awhile, be patient. Enjoy a good book or put that DVD in the slot and relax. We will be here for you on the side of recovery. Wishing you well-

Good luck to all on your surgery.

As for OT. I had them in the rehab hospital and they were loaded with all kinds of neat gadgets. They had one that made putting TED stockings (as well as regular ones a breeze), they put elastic shoelaces in my sneakers so I did not have to untie to put them on (along with an extra long shoe horn), the leg lifter THE GREATEST is has a long flexible handle with a big loop at the end that you can slip over your foot and pull your leg up. Great till the quads kick in. I use it know to help pull the knee in closer to the wall. A graber (long stick with handle with claws at the end so you can grip things you dropped, or use to reach things on shelfs you can't get to). Something to help pull on pants. A big round sponge on a stick so you can wash your back on legs. The funniest one was this long stick with a thin square of metal that was covered with a cloth for getting in between your toes clean.

Simon
Well I said they had lots of things. Also bands to work out your arms and upper body.
