Re: This is my story
Hello my good buddies! Well, I've had a chance to think about all this and Jamie, Jaycey you are absolutely correct! Sure, I'm full of OA however, that doesn't necessarily mean immediate replacement.
I just became overwhelmed when she heard/felt the crunching that I've had for years. She wants me out of pain as much as I want to be free of it. And admittedly she is not an OS.
Although I made an appointment with the OS that she recommended at NEBH, I am going to cancel it. I just cannot return there. And this guy is a colleague of the one who did all the damage to me so it's not a good idea. There are other's locally, the one in particular that my OS recommended has a wonderful reputation.
So, I'll keep calling to see if he has any cancellations sooner than 11/22. In the meantime my GP reassured me that she will continue to refill my Percocet as I need it and I see the Pain Clinic guy on 10/27.
I really was overwhelmed after the apponitment with her as it wasn't what I expected, but now that I've digested it all, I'm ok. And maybe now with proper medication, whatever I did to shake up the THR can settle down a bit.
I have to believe the OS that I didn't do any structural damage as he did look at 3 different views of xray. Soft tissue takes a while to heal as well so I of course panicked over how painful this has been. I've decided to treat it wih TLC and start using the WBAT method with crutches/walker again and let it settle again.
I've been icing and alternating with heat but I find when I am on my feet for any length of time, that is when I am REALLY sore. So, I'm going to baby it for awhile and treat it as I did when I first had my surgery. It can't hurt and it may just fix it.
So I'm back again. None the worse for wear I guess, or maybe just a little :th_heehee:.
